Like many of you, I love our prediction contests and betting on the UFC events. Some of you may be aware of it already, but I found a fun website for fantasy UFC, which offers a variety of prediction contests and betting.

A lot of people play individually, but many also form "fight camps" of friends or groups. I noticed that a lot of other competing mma message boards (sherdog, mmaforum, etc) that compete in this category. Since we are by far the most civilized and intelligent of the bunch, I thought it would be fun to form our own "fight camp" to compete against those bastards.

After you've signed up, go to 'My Fight Camp' and request to join the "Fight Forum" fight camp. Based upon our predictions for upcoming fights, we're statisticaly ranked against other fight camps with the same number of members. This is totally free and, unfortunately for me, I don't get any point bonuses for sign-ups, but I still think that it might be fun. I'm gonna give it a whirl.

EDIT: We were getting too many join requests from people unaffiliated with Fight Forum, so you can't actually request to join the fight camp after you've signed up. Instead, just let me know in this thread or via PM that you've signed up and I'll invite you as soon as I see it. Thanks.

I just created a FF team.
its called 'Fight Forum . com'...itll be in the lightweights atm...

(if there already is a team that ive missed, just say and i will delete it)

I'm in.

BUT I don't think a camp that overwhelmingly chose
-Tito over Rashad (65-27 ugh)
-Swick over Okami (30-17)
-and Diego over Kos (70-21 WTF)
to name a few, will be doing too great in this competition.

I love this place and it's the only MMA forum I visit, but clearly we aren't the most knowledgeable forum.

In our defense, all of those are pretty even fights. Didn't you get like 20somethingth in the last prediction contest? =P

Even fights, yeah. But look at the polls. Ridiculously lopsided.

Yes, I scored very poorly in the last prediction contest (and I understand that you're only taking a fun jab at me), but predicting between a bunch of unknown fighters is totally different to those three fights for example.
Everyone SHOULD know their strengths and be able to make an educated prediction.
Of course you have your upsets too, but Rashad, Kos and Okami winning those fights aren't really upsets. It's the better wrestlers taking the opponent out of their game.

But further in our defense, I've also noticed that in the discussions the opinion of FF seems a lot closer than in the polls. The lurker-voters seem to be the ones screwing up the ratios tbh.

I created a team called "FIGHT FORUM", but I'm not sure why it's not showing up. It doesn't matter to me which one we all join, we just have to make it easy for everyone. I tried looking for yours (Fight Forum . com) in the LW section, but it's not showing up either. I'll go ahead and cancel my group, but can you let me know how I can better find yours?

I've now sent out about seven invites to those who requested it at mmaplayground. Getting on the team doesn't seem to be the most user friendly thing on the site, so if you'd like to join our "Fight Forum" fight camp...

1. Register on the mmaplayground site
2. Let me know in this thread that you've registered (please use the same name as you use in here, or let me know otherwise)
3. I'll send you an invite to the fight camp. Simple as that!

Once you register, you can also 'request to be added to the fight camp', but not everyone has been able to figure that out. If you have trouble just let me know. It should start being a lot easier to find now that we'll have a few members.

Disband your fight camp, yaiir, and I'll invite you. It won't allow me to add you since you're technically with another fight camp.

Ditto. I'm only using it to compete against other forums in the predictions and betting areas.

To get an avatar, simply click on the 'My Account' icon. There's a spot to add an avatar there.

Hey everyone,

I'm updating this thread one final time. We now have 10 members competing at mmaplayground. If we get one more member to join we "move up a weight class" from WW to MW. If you'd like to compete (basically you pick the fights of the upcoming events and we compete against other forums), just register at mmaplayground and request to be added to the FF fight camp:
