But he certainly looks like he has lost a bit of his edge lately.

Kind of like in the beginning of Rocky 3 with Rampage playing the roll of Clubber Lang, and Chuck playing Rocky

I do not honestly think this is just a case of getting caught. I do know one punch is all it took but you need to look at his history. Chuck Liddell can not seem to get beaten by people who want the fight on the ground. A good striker that can pick he spots and is not afraid to stand can and will beat Chuck 50% of the time atleast I think. Chuck needs to learn how to fight the strikers in the sport, it is not going to be good once he does fight someone with elite striking also. His loses to Rampage and Couture he got out struck, yet nobody would have these two fighters as k-1 level. Since he only really fought ground fighters for a while his striking could become sloppy since his opponents stand up was no real threat.

I think Chuck has all the skills and mind set to come back better then before. I see no reason why he wont be champion again.

I honestly don't think he will ever hold a title again. Why, because I knew he was never as good as Dana and the UFC made him out to be. I mean #1 at 205, #1 P4P !? It was ok because the avarage UFC fan has no idea who Shogun or Fedor is and Chuck could keep fighting Tito...
But now we have Rampage, Dan Handerson, Wand, Shogun and others who can beat Chuck coming into the picture. I believe the old UFC guys (Chuck, Rich, Randy etc.) are about to take a back seat to a bunch of fighters coming from another fight org.

Chuck is not done and now more doors have opened for entertaining matches.

I agree. Chuck is not done, but I believe Rampage put a blueprint on how to beat Chuck. You got to stand and catch him. On his dominating run as LHW champ, Chuck has fought guys that were not stand up fighters. They were all standing up w/him to set up the takedown. Chuck has not fought a striker in a long time and I think that's how to beat Chuck. You got to stand in there and hit him. I'm not saying that Rampage is the second coming of Anderson Silva, but he wasn't afraid to strike w/him. If Shogun or Wandi come to the UFC, I know they will be willing to strike w/Chuck and will give him problems.

Chuck was a great champion and is a great fighter, but it comes a point in a champion's career when he has to step down and let the better man stand above him and Rampage was the better man that night.
Chuck is getting older and with age comes slowness which is a big problem in MMA. I feel that Chuck's retirement might be around the corner due to his age.
Chuck got caught with a right hook. It can happen to anyone.
Chuck you're a great fighter and were an awesome champ, but there's a new Sheriff in town.

He did not look good against Tito. A fight like that, with the Liddell of years ago, would have ended in the first round. Tito did not go there to fight and Chuck was almost incapable to deliver. Please watch the fight again.

Come one, man! There are plenty of reasons why he will (likely) not be champion again:
1) The UFC not giving him the immediate rematch he deserved
2) Rampage beating him twice
3) Too much new talent in the division: Henderson, Shogun, Silva, Machida
4) He is 37
5) He is too distracted with all the craziness going on around him
6) He has made a lot of money and may want out
Reasons there are. Now I hope he proves me wrong.

Well i have always liked the saying.
Sometime's to get better, you have to lose.
This maybe the case with liddell.
But as many people stated, he isn't getting any younger.

Bumping up an old thread! Back when I posted this the response was pretty much that Chuck will get back towards his winning ways and that he would be fine!? Now 1-3 in his last four fights, I was just curious as to what people think as of now.

I don't think Chuck has lost anything, other then that he needs to put his f'n hands up! Yeah his style of keeping the hands low workers for awhile, but four straight fights, dropped in all of them, finished in two, KTFO in one.
If Chuck starts fighting with a more protective approach, he will be a threat again, the reason fighter's are beating him is because he just refuses to accept that he'll be KO'd, I hope Chuck changes his style and is successful yet again!

With regards to Chuck, I'll keep putting my points where my mouth is. Hopefully this is't the same type of blind devotion where I lost $$$ because I kept thinking Matt Hughes could come back...
