Kongo says he is fighting Cro Cop

Well, every other major fight recently has been an upset so I'm going to say Kongo wins.

I don't think Mirko will retire until he holds the belt in the UFC, he has done it is K1 and Pride (open weight GP). He is not a man to give up and the fact that he installed a cage into his training facility shows me he is in it for longer than 3 fights.

He did win the OWGP in PRIDE, but I'm not sure what you mean by "he has done it in K-1".

And it's 4 fights.
That's gonna take a while.
Getting the cage only shows me he's learning from his mistakes, not that he's planning to go on after this contract.

That would realllllly suck!!!!

I agree, he's to good of a fighter to never held a title. BUT in my mind he has to win at the very least 2 fights in a row to even be considered, and the 2nd fight has to be against a fighter already in the title picture. Even then, I've been reading rumors of FEDOR being close to singing with the UFC, sounds like bad news for most of the ufc HW's

With only 3 fights left after this one, I'm not sure we ever see CroCop as a champion.

If CroCop DOES lose this fight, I hope we don't keep carrying on this excuse that he lost because he wanted to retire. He is getting paid to do a job. If he loses, he just got beat by a better fighter that night. End of story. This talk about him not wanting it anymore is a bunch of crap. The dude put a cage in his training facility for goodness sakes. He even said in a interview that he immediately went into training after his last loss. Cro Cop is man enough to take a loss. Some of you guys should be too and stop writing him off as done because he is going through a rough time right now.

^^^Looks like you got KTFO!!! :D

My money will be on Crocop!!!

I do agree that with Mirko having 3 fights left they should of gave him AA. I think Crocop would take AA out. My cash will be on Crocop until the day he retires. :(

well just like Randy Courture said which i agree with him is that Mirko got the Win over Edie Sanchez but Ground and Pound and he was mounted so i think he is improving his skills on the ground and i just CC will win if it goes to the ground.

when i saw Kongo fight with Assuerio Silva he was doing good on his feet but he lacked so much on the ground, i think if Cro Cop sees that he's having trouble with Kongo on his feet i think CC should take Kongo down because i think CC is way better on the ground than Kongo

That would not happen. Mirko does not take people down. He is much more lethal on his feet than Kongo that there's where he will fight and knock Kongo out.

I wouldn't be supriced if Cro Cop takes Kongo down and use GnP for a TKO stoppage.

No way in hell Cro Cop goes for a takedown, he needs a huge KO to give fans that don't know him well to something to remember him by other than him getting KOd by Gonzaga. Even if he didn't "need" the KO, why would he want to take Kongo to the ground? He is still one of the top strikers in MMA.

^^^^^^ I agree, this match normally is no slouch but i think out of all the phenominal match-ups and only 3 opportunities, they should use their 3 wishes a little wiser.

I have to say I'm not happy with this match up at all. I mean you only have CroCop for 3 fights after this, if he wins big deal, he's fighting a guy he suppose to beat. I would much rather see CC face the best the UFC has to offer. AA, Slyvia, Vera. To either prove or disprove his #2 in the world status.

I think this is a very dangerous match for Cro Cop. Kongo is best on the Stand Up and he just holds on and waits for a stand up by the ref on the ground. But Cro Cop wants to be on the feet as well, so I don't see this being a cakewalk for Cro Cop unless he catches Kongo with a high kick or a quick KO which Kongo will be ready for and will not be easy to do.

I say Someone gets KTFO early 2nd, but I honestly couldn't say who.

Better chance of Cro Cop meeting him on the ground after he drops Kongo or pushes him over from a clinch! (not hating on kongo just dont see cro cop going for a shot!)
