Exactly, I think only marquardt and franklin will get their shots before the year is out in mw, hughes in ww, franca and penn/pulver in lw. Seeing how shogun hasnt even busted into the ufc yet, i dont think he will get a shot anytime soon either.

HW-?? I like Randy but I can't see him keeping the Belt, I think he might beat Gonzaga but after that he's going to have to fight NOG or AA so I'm going with who ever gets there shot in '07

Henderson- Wins it at UFC 75 and then retains it in a match later in the year.

Franklin- Continues his winning ways and grabs the belt.

Nog/Cro Cop-I think the winner of gonzaga/couture will face nog/cop by end of the year. In either case I think gonzaga/couture will lose.

Rampage-I dont think hendo, or whoever fights him after, perhaps rashad, will beat jackson.

Franklin-I think franklin will get it back before the year is through

Sherk- If penn gets past pulver and gets his shot, i think he'll have the belt. If not, I see sherk holding onto it for a while.

Gonzaga is a hell matchup for Randy, and I think Big Nog can submit him after for the belt.

Rampage should be fine to outsize Hendo and last to the end of the year

Marquart is a brutal style matchup for Silva, and can outskill Rich

Hughes will probably beat Serra and the rubber match with him and GSP should leave with George on top.

The only person who is going to stop Sherk at 155 is BJ Penn.


my guess is that if Josh beats GSP, instead of Hughes-GSP 3 will be replaced with Hughes-Penn 3 if they both have belts, now that's a superfight

I doubt Zags and Rampage will have another fight in '07. Silva will beat Nate, then Franklin in the rematch. Serra will shock the world again and plow through Hughes. I'm not sure who Sherk will get, but chances are he defends successfully again by years end.

Hmmm... not much time for getting a title shot.

My guesses are:
HW: Gonzaga - I think he'll beat Randy. Don't know if he'll defend before the year is up. But I think Crocop is still coming for that belt.
LHW: Henderson - him vs. Page is almost 50-50 imo. Again, don't know will he defend, and if so, against who. Shogun should be taking the belt eventually though.
MW: Silva - I'm picking him against Marquardt. If however Nate wins, I think Rich could snatch the belt from him before the year is up. He won't snatch it from Silva though.
WW: Hughes - I think he'll get a decision over Serra and GSP/Kos won't get the shot before next year. Either of them will beat Hughes eventually.
LW: BJ - I'm counting on him getting a title shot when he beats Pulver. Then he'll beat the winner of Sherk-Franca (most likely Sherk).
