2 UFC fighters nominated for ESPY Awards
Randy Couture and "Rampage" Jackson have been nominated by ESPN for Best fighter. Other finalists are Floyd Mayweather, Miguel Cotto and Manny Pacquaio.
The ESPY Awards will be shown at 9pm on 7/15/07.
Any chance Couture/Rampage wins this award?

I believe they'll give it to FMY..
But if any of our 2 fighters would win.. i think it would be Randy.. i'm not saying that rampage doesn't deserve it.. i'm just saying that what the ESPN would pick imo..

IT's cool that they're nominated, at this point I dont think either of them will win. Unless Randy Couture is more of a household name than we all think?
You never know, he is respected across the board. Rampage I think nobody knows enough about.

All the voting is done by fans. If you want Randy or Rampage to win get out and vote. I voted for Rampage even though I would like to see Pacquaio. |

Your right, but a couple of reasons why he isn't even on the list.
1) ESPN is just starting to pay attention to MMA and all they know is UFC, so if you fight for another organization, your not getting on the list
2) Best=Most Popular,always has always will from class president nominations to all-star game to ESPY's voting. And that refers to #1, ESPN doesn't even know who he is unfortunately!

It's not "best fighter of all time" it's fighter of the year for '07, which Randy and Rampage clearly achieved more than Fedor did.

Voted for Rampage. It was tough deciding between him or Couture, as I think both deserve it. But I figured that Couture would get more votes since I figure he's the more well-known mma fighter in the sports community. So I voted for Rampage to even things out a bit more, and of course because of his accomplishments.
