You don't really think that Alexander could knock out chuck do you? YA he has punching power, but he had to take a hit from Jardine to get in. If he would have taken a shot from Chuck and not Jardine he would have been down. So I disagree that Houston could KO chuck.

But, hey, I am just a fan, and there is too much money and interests involved in all of this.

Chuck is the biggest draw in the UFC and he's 38 years old. Who knows how much longer he will fight? The UFC wants to put him in the cage as many times as possible before he retires because Chuck = $$$ in the bank.

Well, yeah, but if he (for any WEIRD reason) loses to Jardine, that market value decreases exponentially. His losing to Rampage did not mean a big hit to it, but losing to Jardine... Oh, well. That would be terrible.

I don't like how everyone is trying to place the blame. It sounds to me like it's just a bad set of circumstances. There is no title fight available for 76, and no big name fighters available besides Chuck to headline. Wandy has good reasons for not wanting to fight in September. But leaving Chuck off the card means there's no main event. So the fight can't happen right now. That's life. Trying desperately to place the blame on Dana White has gotten old. If you really need to place the blame, blame Wandy. Even if he has good reasons, he is why the fight is not happening.

Liddell - Jardine won't happen, it's such a lose~lose for the UFC's bank. This sounds about as true as Diego - Penn

I think they will hold off until November and let chuck and Wandy fight it out atleast thats the smart move on their part.As far as making lots of money and giving all the mma fans the fight we have waited too long for this would be the smart move.Hopefully Dana gets it done

i don't really care if it doesn't sell if Chuck and Jardine fight because to me they seem like they kinda with the same style. They both got good hands and their legs kicks are good too. This fight i was actually wondering if it happened, i hope they do fight.

Wandy vs Chuck is the biggest fight in mma history, make it happen in november. Move Ortiz-Evans to UFC 76 and then set up Big Nog-Arlovski at 76 also which makes it a good card. UFC 77 in November in Ohio with silva vs franlin and liddell vs silva. And then have UFC 78 in November too.

I really hope they will work something out with the Silva vs. Liddell cause I really think this will be for sure $$ in the bank for the UFC since this is what MMA fans was waiting for for a very long time. Silva wants to train hard for this fight against Liddell and November if they come into an agreement I can wait to see so it will be an awesome fight since both fighters have time to train hard and give us MMA fans a GREAT show.

Yeah, there are infinite possibilities for the UFC to put together a good UFC 76 card without Liddell. Considering Silva is willing to fight in November, there is no reason in the world for Chuck to fight Jardine. And that said by someone (me) who pushed for the Jardine-Liddell match-up a while back in this forum.

I dont think this will happen and I really hope it doesnt. It makes zero sense. The UFC needs to wait on Silva.

I'd rather see Bisping fight Jardine (and lose probably). Chuck would beat Alexander. With Silva coming in too lhw will look alot like pride in a new country.

i've said before i was surprised at all the rumours goin around about chuck fighting wandy, i said i was so surprised that they'd be giving him such a tough bout. i'm leaning more towards the fact he'll fight keith now and give him not an easy bout but an easier bout. dana doesn't want chuck to get two losses in a row
