Hello All. I am new to this Forum, but not to MMA and Boxing. Nice place here, I am glad I found it.
I am not so sure Chuck would walk through Jardine. Especially if he hasn't straightened out his personal problems. I wanted Liddell to beat Rampage, but after seeing the "Drugged Chuck" interview I wasn't feeling good about his chances. I was unfortunately right. I do want to see Silva and Liddell fight, but only when both of them have their heads on straight.

The fact Wandy has been KOed his last 2 fights and has lost 3 of his last 5 fights and one of those Wins was against Arona who many thought he could of gone either way , which If the judges saw it like many fans did 4 loses out of his last 5 fights and 2 of them being massive knock outs . The fact Pride made him there poster boy has 5 title defenses In 5 years how the hell that works who knows and now there Is rumours he wants the fight bad with Chuck but didn't want It as soon as september ???? The biggest fight of his career / biggest payday Is offered to him and they both want to fight , then cut all the crap and sign those freaking papers . Both these guys are crazy warriors who want to fight I don't see whats so god damn difficult .

I already heard that Sherk-Penn would be in November.
76 right now has no main event-assuming Chuck waits to fight Silva
77-Silva Franklin and have Liddell Silva
78-Sherk Penn
79-Serra Hughes
I would rather have UFC 76 be like another UFC 72 if it means that Liddell Silva will happen. Maybe throw like Forrest Griffin in or another name.

I still can't believe we have to wait this long for this fight.

I think this is kinda a shun to Houston Alexander.
Here he KTFO of Jardine and jardine gets the former 4 time UFC LHW champ?
That's kinda jacked. I'd be sorta pissed if I were Houston Alexander.

Of course Houston COULD ko chuck. Pretty much anyone could ko anyone given the right oportunity. I dont think he will , but im not saying that there is no way he can.

still thinking it's not real....
Dana will either give Wanderlei enough money to fight Chuck at 76, or they'll hold off a while and make the card good in some otherway.

Did you see the interview where Liddell was obviously buzzed out to the point of being nearly incoherent just a few months before his defense against Rampage? That didn't exactly instill confidence in him in my eyes. And then the way he looked against Jackson helped even less.
Codkaz, Silva has made comments that make it obvious that he wants time to heal and to train intensively before his next fight. I want to see him fight when his mind and body are really ready. Same thing for CL.
If/When these two guys fight, I want to see them both at their best.

Seriously if they really want to fight, then fight. Everyone wants to see this fight. They will be making a rediculously large payday. Wandy says he wants this fight bad and signing the papers now gives him two months. Unless he hasnt trained since his last loss i dont see what is so difficult.
But then there are probably one million little things that play into this that no one knows about that are keeping this fight from happening. I guess if Wandy wants to be completely ready and that wont be untill November i dont see why we cant have them fight then. Just get it done.

Very true and great points made , I hope my post didn't come across as me not respecting Wandy or not enjoying his style , I just hope he is 100% and ready to go , In Chuck history In MMA he has always came back strong from defeat and comes to a fight on a mission for revenge on his record With Wandy he has been struggling of late . I want Chuck and Wandy to be 100% and have no excuses at the end let the best walk out of the cage with there hand raised .

I agree; Chuck should win w/ a 1st or 2nd round KO imo.....

So, the Jardine vs. Chuck fight is just a rumor at this point.
I don't think a lot of people will be picking Jardine if that fight happens.
Wandy's explanation does make sense, but since the UFC clearly NEEDS that main event for UFC 76, I don't see them taking Chuck out of the card so that he would fight Wandy a couple months later.
Which is too bad.
|
Big mistake by Wandy. I understand his point totally but you have to take opportunites when they are presented to you or they might not be there when you ready. As for Chuck and Jardine, I think I would have been a little more excited about it if Jardine was coming off of a win....
