It wasn't LNP. LNP is where you just Lay and do nothing. Sherk was constantly changing positions, and he had a couple Kimura Attempts. Also he has amazing slams which is very exciting. The fact that he can take knees to the head like that and escape submissions is what make him a exciting fighter.

im not bashing on Sherk, im saying some people wont like his style, i personally didnt, sherk had oppourtunities to reign blows on franca but didnt, holding somone down for 20 minutes and not making a significant mark on them isnt my kind of fighting. sherk had as much damage on him as franca did and franca was on bottom for the whole fight.
sherk has great slams yes and he is strong yes. looking for a kimura doesnt coutn and his positioning doesnt count as nothing came of it in way of winnign the fight by anyother means than lying on top of the guy, fact of the matter is that he didnt finish franca and had control for the full fight with times to hurt franca and didnt

Ya I agree, I wanted Sherk to posture up and rain some elbows down. I am sure he was just a little nervous because it was his first title defense and look what happened to GSP. I'm sure his next couple fights he is going to be a little less cautious and just wan to prove he can finish fights.

yeah chuck liddell overhand right.
tell me why if matt lindland is so good he isnt in the UFC or the UFC dropped him asap. also tim sylvia, i dont care if someones marketable or not but dana does, and the money they make from the PPVs make the UFC stronger.
if the guy was 26 stones of fat and looked like giant silva as long as he was an exciting fighter id back him. those guys are marketable as they put on a show.

yeah im from scotland, im not talking giant silva or akebono, but i mean guys who will put bums on seats. sherk to me doesnt seem like he can do this, now if you had BJ Penn as the champ then the UFC wouldnt need to have 2 title fights on the same card.
