Josh Barnett free to fight
Just read on Josh Barnetts myspace that his contract [with whoever it was with] has ended and he's now free to compete again, he has stated that he has had talks with Dana about returning to the ufc heavyweight division but isnt sure if they can strike a deal.
Me personally i believe that a fighter like Josh Barnett could be very good for the ufc's heavyweight division at the moment, there is a mass of fantastic light heavyweights but only a handfull of decent heavyweights.
Just interested in what other ufc fans think about the possible return of Josh Barnett.

I'd love to see him back, but unless the UFC is willing to pay a lot of $$$ I think he's staying in Japan. He's practically a superhero in Japan, plus I think he wants a shot at Fedor more than anything else so unless Fedor lands in the UFC in the next few months I think it's a longshot.

Holy crap, what if bodog could snap up both Barnett and Fedor, they could use that fight as a main event and I would bet that card would sell, no matter how bad the undercard is. I would watch it, who wouldn't? This is a big opportunity for Bodog in my opinion.

I like Barnett and hopes he can get with an organization pretty quick and get a good fight. Be it, Bodog, UFC, or K-1 Heros.

Could not of said it better. Josh Barnett is one of my favorite fighters and I think he would mess up most of HW. I really hope the ufc (Dana) snatches him up quick. Knowing Dana and his past with Barnett, Dana would probably want Barnett to come to him for the oppurtunity.
