This will be good for him, no doubt about it, but i dont think this going to make him into the striking beast everyone thinks he is going to be. He has been doing professional mma for what? 2 years? His striking against AA was absolutely atrocious. You would think he would have picked up how to throw a decent punch in that time. That isn't to say that he wont improve his stand-up game, I just think that he isnt a natural striker and wont pick up on it as much as others no matter who is teaching him.

You look at other fighters who are dominant in a particular area, like Matt Hughes with gnp, train excessively with stand-up and striking, but I don't think you will ever see him highlight reel KO someone no matter how much, or who he trains with. I think the same will be said for Werdum.

However, this will be a beneficial addition to team Chute Boxe.

Werdum always looked like he could have caught AA during the fight. That's what I mean. The guy is not the best in the stand up, but seems quite menacing.

the fact that he is training with Chute Boxe now is enough to make people respect Werdum in striking all by itself. Werdum would'nt even need to train striking because people are going to asssume that he is and will need to respect the schools reputation for creating strikers like Wandy and Shogun.
