MMA legend Wanderlei Silva hit the gym in Vegas today. He’s in town for the next two weeks from the Fizogen-Xtreme Couture in Wellington, Florida. Wanderlei is helping Randy to get ready for Gabriel Gonzaga.
Here’s what Randy had to say about working out with the Brazilian legend, “It’s great to have him in the gym. I’m anxious to pick his brain. To explore his training tactics and techniques. I’m also looking forward to building a rapport with him going forward. We had some good goes today. We were working out of half guard and the mount. He’s very tough in both positions.”
Wanderlei says he’s glad to be here in Vegas with “The Natural”. And that he’s impressed with Randy. “He’s strong on the ground. He has very good jiu jitsu and excellent stamina. He’s stronger than I thought.”
Wanderlei even made a prediction for the main event at UFC 74. “Randy is good for this fight. He’s ready. Very good boxing. He will win.”
As for his next fight, Silva tells us he’ll be stepping back into the Octagon on December 29th. He hopes it is against Chuck Liddell.

He definitely looks bigger in the first photo. Hopefully the axe murderer can make predictions like Randy.

ton of respect for these two men. Randy is amazing at what he has accomplished and still has more, and Wandy's style is so vicious its awesome. Cant wait to see him fight again.

thats a great training partner ... wandy will definitely benefit on randys knowledge of beating and losing to chuck liddel.
i also hope is prediction is correct...however GG is gonnnnna be tough.
and the ufc must be betting on chuck not getting too banged up, if at all by jardine, in order to fight again so soon

Randy looks like a 30 year old LHW. Wandy's face looks enormous compared to Randy's, it's weird. Im glad to see this hook up, good for both of them.

Randy looks to be setting up well for this Gonzaga fight, although i wouldn't expect any less.

WOW!!! Just thinking. I am a big fan of the Iceman but if Wanderlei comes in with his style of fighting and with Randy's mind, thats a very dangerous opponent. Chuck is in trouble.
Wandy was bigger than CroCop in their fight, so it wouldn't surprise me if he was walking around at about 235 right now. He does looks big, and if he's healthy the Liddell fight could be a very quick KO.
