Oh you know he is.. Josh comes from a Puroresu background so he loves the hyping and the talking, and is very pissed off that he still has yet to find an MMA home.

But at the same time, Josh is very humble and respectful after a match, win or lose.. he knows that half of fighting is promotion but when its all said and done to drop the gimmick and be real.

Randy is too strong, fast, smart, and too superior of a wrestler. Barnett is too lumbering for a fighter like Couture. Josh and Sylvia would be a better fight.

I'm not mad at Barnett one bit. I think he knows what its going to take to get Dana to sign him for a title shot and he is trying everything in his power to make some noise for himself. I would personally love to see Barnett come back to the UFC.

So now Randy is to good to meet a guy like Josh?
I think this would be a very cool match up tbh. And i think it might be trubble for Randy, not saying he will loose but I do think he has a point when it come to hes comment on GG aswell.
I think GG got a way to fast oppertunety for a title due to a very bad match from Cro Cop.
If randy is a true champion, something I know he is he would love to have a revenge fight against Josh

When that is sayd I doubth he will get it. But I would love 2 see them fight again.

Randy will never ever ever lose again. Dana said so. Dana said he is unbeatable.

Dana is calling out Fedor. Josh is calling out Randy. Both smell big money and will do what it takes to make it happen. Either fight would be excellent. I still think Fedor is too good for Randy. He is explosive and has no weak area to his game. He is almost impossible to keep down. Randy vs. Josh = Coin Toss imho.

Yea his last fight with Big Nog was pretty one sided and the one before that could have went either way (I actually thought Nog won that fight). I think the only people who could give him real problems atm is CC and Nog.

WOW shocking Josh running his mouth LOL the guy had little Issue until now he doesn't have a MMA home , he hopes by running his mouth enough Dana will want to shut him up by signing him to a contract . Mocking Gonzaga was quite rude aswell If acouple of those kicks landed alittle different he could of easily won that watch so If he wasn't even a championship style fighter then I think a josh vs Gonzaga seems to be a legit match for any mma fan .

Im dissapointed for josh making the comments that he has but i started a thread a few weeks ago stating that i really wish the ufc would sign him up, i mean Barnett and Fedor are in my eyes the 2 missing links to the ultimate hw division, if Josh want to back up what he's said then he should hook up with Dana white and come to an agreement, obviousley he should exept he isnt deserving of an immediate title shot and should have to get past the likes of cro cop, nog, vera and even sylvia before meeting Randy.
Then maybe by that time the ufc will have pulled there heads out of their arses and signed Fedor Emelianenko aswell.

I completely agree with what Barnett said about GG, I've been saying it for months. I also agree with the fact that Couture needs to fight Barnett but not because Randy is a paper champ, because he needs to shut Barnett and all the naysayers up. As Aika said Barnett likes to talk but if you beat him he'll give you the respect you deserve.

barnett is over-rated. Allot of people think he's the guy too beat fedor.

I think randy would maul barnett against the cage. He'd suck the life outta him just like he did with GG exept he'd own him way worse boxing and he might not be able too finish him.

randy by tko in round 4 or unanimous decision

but at the same time barnett is one of those guys who doesent give up and can lock a sub at any time

I think Barnett knows he's full of crap. He's just talking all this crap in hopes that it will cause Dana to sign him back into the UFC. Pathetic attempt really. I hope Dana and Randy don't play into it. Then again I wouldn't mind seeing Randy knock some sense into him.

In all fairness Josh hurt his shoulder in his first fight with CroCop... went the distance in their second, but wasn't as lucky the third. Not horrible considering his opponent. 1-1 vs Nog... not bad I say. He also beat Fedor's brother, Semmy twice, and Mark Hunt among others. My favorite fight of his, although it was a loss, was his fight with Pedro... man what a fight (UFC 30).

Having said that, Josh is too big of a person for him. Please don't bring up Tim... he doesn't have the tools Josh does. Whether Josh was being serious or not, I agree with him. Dana, UFC, whoever likes to build their champs up as some sort of mythological god. Randy could win, but the only way I see that happening is dragging the fight out till the final bell. I just don't see Barnett lasting more than 3 rounds.

BINGO!!! You, IrishRage and Jenkins83 have hit the nail on the head. Barnett is just posturing, so Dana will give him a contract. He's just making noise to try to up his value with the UFC and other organizations. Smart on his part. I do hope the UFC signs him, he'd add even more depth to a constantly improving division.

I'd love to see Gonzaga vs. Barnett as his first fight.
