After seeing Martin against Salaverry it seems he will murdalize Leben, but not totally counting out the brick hands.

Yeah. I think that after another two wins or so, we may see him going for the title.

dude? what Matin are you talking about? Terry Martin is a GnP fighter. He is gonna take Leban down and pound him out in the 1st round.

Agree...I really don't think Leben will stand with Martin. Leben will try to submit him on the ground.

I honestly don't see how people give Leben a chance in this fight. Martin by KO rd 1.

this is just like when i was telling people diaz would beat gomi, nobody beleived it until diaz did.

just like this fight i thought the style matchup was poor for gomi.

Now im not saying i think terry has no chance, but leben's style with be very hard for him too handle in my opinion.

I can't even think of one thing Leben does better than Martin. Martin is better standing,is probably better at keeping people down and Gnping them. And they are probably about equal in submissions. So I predict a 1st round TKO or KO win for Martin.

leben has a better chin, he's a better slugger, he's fought better fighter's,and easily has better bjj.

martin is stronger and has great slams.

Yeah Leben has fought better fighters, but he lost. It doesn't matter who you fought if you didn't win. Heck I could go in there and fight the best fighter in the world and get demolished in 5 seconds, and that doesn't mean that all of a sudden I am a good fighter just because I fought a good fighter.

And why do you say he has better BJJ. If I recall correctly they both have about the same amount of wins by submission.

He's a better "slugger". Yeah because his punches aren't very technical. He just goes in there and swings and hopes to land a shot.

yeah they have about the aame amount of sub wins leben still has better bjj in my opinion.

i think terry martin is over-rated.

counterpuncher you say leben lost too most of the good fighters he fougth which is completely true buts lets examine this situation.

good fighters leben has fought:

starnes: a war, could have gone either way, starnes even said he thought leben should have won

mcdonald: leben completely dominated the fight on the ground and on the feet until he got caught

doerkson: leben did more damage and in my opinion was robbed, you could hear the commentators hugging joe's nuts the wholetime and i think the judges decision was bias.

silva: leben was destroyed, he didnt do anything here

rivera: not a great fighter but a great striker and leben knocked him out fast

and id like too add for those who doubts leben's ground game he's beaten bjj blackbelts before.

I think if you really have ever watched leben losses besides his loss to silva you will see he brings it everytime.

considering the calibre of fighter martin is i still think this is a match thats great for leben. And guys i promise you who ever wisn this fight will be a war, and if terry wisn its not gonna be some easy first round ko.

you guys under-estimate leben and over estimate terry.
terry hasnt even fought anyone good besides ivan sallaverry. Leben on the other hand has proven he can fight well against good fighters regardless if he has lost he has still shown he brings it.

I must admit Leban is a 100th degree black belt in swimstrikin.. Its not a common form of martial arts because its not that efective... All it consists of is moving forward head first while flailing your arms as though your swiming hoping to touch the shore..

On a more serious side, he fights so wide open anyone with precise strikes should be able pick him apart. And I think that is what will happen... I understand he goes out and "bangs" and I respect that.. BUT.. A good chin and mediocor(sp) groud skills will only get you so far...

Isn't it kinda sad how Leben is getting a 4th fight after 3 losses, yet David Loiseau got the boot after just 2...? And Leben is nowhere near as exciting as The Crow...

What i cant stand about Leben is they guy talks so much trash and always ends up looking like a fool. Anyone remember how he was gonna send A.Silva back to Japan where the competition was easier ? IMO the guy possesses very little skill other than he has a good chin and "he likes to bang". I like to bang too , doesn't mean im any good at it. His claim to fame is beating Swick , yet he wont fight him again. At least when Tito trashes someone he beats , he always says "we can do it again".

Leben reminds me of that kid everyone knew when they were 12 , doing stupid **** like pissing on someones bed. Then lipping off every other kid until he got his ass beat over and over again still never learning his lesson. I don't like to see people get hurt , but honestly , i wouldn't mind seeing Leben leave this fight on a stretcher.

Leben has looked terrible in his last 2 fights. He was slower than ever before and, even if Martin decides to trade punches with him, I still see Leben taking the most punishment. Unless Chris has made up his mind and worked his speed, he is getting ko'ed once again, not a-la-Silva, but ko'ed nonetheless.

Now, that said, if you look up "overrated" in the dictionary there's a picture of Terry Martin right there.

Stand up war or strengthwise, Martin has the advantage. The only way Leben could pull this fight off is by a pre-calculated, pre-trained submission on Martin. Lure him in the guard then set him up for a triangle armbar or something similar.
