As long as Matt has enough fights to still have a good go against Serra then GSP I'm happy. I don't want him retiring before we can finish watching that trilogy

On the UG the rumor was he was bangin' jens' wife. Then jens' brother posted that he didn't even have a wife.

Monte Cox confirmed it, Sam Caplan expounds here (note the bold text under the URL):

Five Ounces of Pain | Matt Hughes to start new gym in St. Louis

"So to clarify, FiveOuncesOfPain.com can confirm that Hughes is starting a gym in the St. Louis area but its still not certain whether hes leaving MFS altogether. Also, virtually all of the conspiracy theories out there that have surfaced are false."

Hmmm, I like Hughes leaving Miletich, I don't like him going it alone. Financially it's a great idea, but training wise it's only going to hurt him. He's likely only a few fights away from retirement if he's taking this step. This basically says, "I'm done trying to improve or change any aspect of my game."

Nog to Miletich might work for him, it certainly couldn't hurt his wrestling. Personally I think he'd be better off sticking with Black House and Anderson Silva to work on his Thai boxing.

i agree with you there, sounds like he has said to himself he will just fight out his contract and retire to owning the gym.

for him to improve he has to bring in people that are specialized in certain areas, so for him to improve he would have to hire them seperatley and i don't know if he can support that on his own.

we will see what happens

also big nog going to MFS is a big downstep i think

idk, i hope that rumor is bs, Miletich would be a step backwards for him imo. What's Timmah supposed to teach him?

saw this at mmaweekly from one of the most respected posters

Confirmed on the underground:

Pat posted on the UG saying matt had a great finacial oppurtunity to open a gym and has decided to do so in St. Louis. Says theyre still on good terms and are still friends. It is believed matt is taking robbie lawler with him, which makes sense due to robbie being his assistant onTUF 6.

Just a heads up. Also rumored that Nog is gonna join MFS. Crazy ehh?
