Question about championship belts
I never really thought of this until I read that recent interview with Josh Barnett where he said he's "still got a UFC belt."
Does each champion get his own belt to keep permanently, or is there really just one belt for all the divisions that champs have to give back when they lose?

they get a new belt everytime they win a champ fight.
It's why you hear them talking about winning a new title every night, it's literally true.

Yea, the belts they win are sorta like trophys you might say. You keep them, so the same goes for the belts.
Think about if you won the belt, wouldnt you want to showcase that in your home or gym even?

Yeah Randy has a cas/cabinet and there was a lot in there, so I guess they make a new one for every fight. I wonder how much they cost?

Someone somewhere posted a link to the maker's website which has prices for all of their products listed. I believe it was on this forum actually. Anyway, I did the math and I would imagine they are only a few grand a piece. Tops 5k. |
