Cro cop, dive anyone??? - Fight Forum - MMA - UFC - Boxing - K1

Sorry but was extremely obvious, he a beaten k1 champions, fought with some of the top pride fighters and beaten many of them. He wasn't even tring in the first round and still beaten cheik kongo, kongo had little skill and don't tell me Cro Cop was scared of kongo, he has beaten Bob Sapp.

To make it worse the ufc commentators where saying how congo has it all, the look the name and so fourth, so I am left wondering was it gangsters or the ufc leaning on Cro cop to take a dive, to sell thier new "fighter". If you think I am chatting crap just look at his fights, wins and losses, he is a very experienced fighter, congo is not, and congo's skill, well where the hell where they.

It looked like Cro Cop could of steped on the gas and masacred konga at any time, but just kept steping back, just going through the motions.

Not unlike the many Ken Shamrock and Tito Ortiz, Tito being the new guy they wanna sell, Ken has just came out back out of WWF, so he is used to taking dives cause that type of wrestling is all fixed anyways. Just watch Ken beat crap out of strikers well above Tito's level.

Cro Cop if your out thier and you can read this, A fighter only has thier pride, you don't sell it. You can tell at the begining you had your head down, you knew what your was doing was wrong. Don't do it again lad.:sport-smi

Did the UFC kill Pride--arguable. Is the UFC "leaning" on people to take dives? That's BS. Why is Cro Cop losing? The octagon is a different than place than the ring. Gonzaga through a head kick that would knock most men unconscious. Neither Cro Cop nor Kongo are great on the ground. Once Kongo figured out how to back up Cro Cop, he was going to and did win. Cro Cop broke a rib in the first round and that ruins your ablity to breathe and move.

I'm as gutted as you mate but noway has he took a dive there... A KO like the knockout from Gonzaga in his last night can really mess you up mentally. Crocop has never been KO'd like that before an should of been noway near an Octagon last weekend because it was clear he hasn't recovered mentally.

Think Crocop has to take some time out an get his head together or maybe retire it's that simply. Kongo was good the other night to be fair but there was nothing coming back from Crocop... very dissappointing for us Crocop fans.

just accept that Cro Cop is going through a rough time right now and his skills in the octagon aren't as good as they were in Pride. Sh*t happens man.

Cro cop wasnt trying the 1st round? he won that round man. but you have probably read by now, he got his rib broke during the first round which made him less aggressive. Cro cop came out throwing body kicks 1 after another, no rib broken he probably would of got the win. But sh*t happens, which is another cro cop quote.

O liked it whne he said maybe hes getting to old then laughed,Randys older than him but, cro cops a KO guy. Randy beats you in other ways coming from that wrestling background and knowing how to utilize the clinch. what it all boils down to is Randy uses strategy

Btw do we have to make it seem as tho pride is against ufc? considering they bought out pride and now they all fight to see who the best is. Dana just wants to showcase the best fighters and he knew only pride and UFC had them. Just let Dana work, he;ll get it mainstream i mean look how far hes came already, hes a business man. If it seemed he threw the fight, its cause of the rib, have you read the thread about himn breakin it? You should search it on the forum

You say he has beaten Bob sapp like it's something big ? Cro co hasnt taken a dive at all m8, you telling me he took a dive in manchester and nearly broke his own leg in the process ? it seems to me that cro cop is struggling at the moment whether it be caused by his ko to Gonzaga or maybe he having a tough time in his private life, who knows but im 100 percent sure he aint being cornered by gangsters and ask yourself this, why would the ufc be pushing for kongo when the hw division is the most stacked it has been for years.

Why attack Cro-Cop's honor like this? I think that he has been well beyond any sort of BS like throwing a match or taking a dive or whatever else people think along those lines. Did you forget that Cro-Cop means CROATIAN POLICE. This has benn a man that follows the rules and would NOT break a law. Why would he ever throw a match or take a dive or whatever. Agreed. There are things that happen occasionally in the Sports World that make you question their validity. This match was not one of those things for the reasons that several posters have already mentioned..injury, personal pride, etc.

The groin shots make me lose respect for Kongo because it happened so many times that it made me angry. I felt the same way about GSP when he did that to Matt Hughes. But, it had nothing to do with throwing any fights or any WWE scripted endings to the fight. I just hate it when the rules get violated and the referee does not take proper actions. IMO, the referee should have taken points from Kongo and maybe DQ'd him.

Like you said he is a top class fighter, he will not dive. The UFC would love for him to win, they did buy his contract to have one of the best HW stars ever. This is a bull**** thread and you know little about MMA if you dont realize everyone can be beat fairly.
