He also push Kos at the weigh in, acting all big and bad and then lost.

Tough fight to call...Will Diego be hungry or tenative after a loss?? From what I have seen Diego has struggled with fighters who are better wrestlers than him and can stop his shot(Kos, Alessio), so this could be a poor match up for him.

Diego all the way, Fitch is good but he has not fought any big names yet aside from alves and burkman. Two notable wins.
I realize it was a long time ago and a lot of improvements have been made in his game but in 02 he lost to Gouveia. 60% of Fitchs' wins are decisions. 60% of Sanchez wins are subs and tko's.
Diegos pace will be too high for fitch.
UFC put Rogan on UFC Countdown to pump up the people about Fitch so that they would not be giving an image of spoon feeding TUF fighters.
This will not be a spoon fed match my no means, it is a fight and anything can happen. I just feel all things considered regarding skill, talent and experience this fight goes to Sanchez.
Fitch could get lucky and capitalize on a mistake by Sanchez and ko him or sub him, but at the end of the third round this is Diegos night.

Fitch via decision.
Say goodbye to the title shot, Diego.
PS. this poll sucks.

Haha, all those finishes (60%) from Diego came against no-namers.
I guess Joe Riggs is a semi-name or something, but Fitch finished Burkman, Alves and Carneiro, all of whom I rate better than Riggs.
And you do know that Gouveia would kick Diego's ass even today?
Not just back in 02.

I predict Diego will get the decision. Possibly split decision. I see his aggression being the key factor in helping him get the win. But Fitch can just as easily win, obviously.
Whatever happens, I see this fight going the distance, and it being a close fight.

This is a tossup, a classic 50/50 fight I'd say. Since I don't like either fighter I'll just hope for a brutal KO from either side

I don’t like the attitude of some of the fans who always like to complain. When they say if you had a quick fight that they wished it was longer and if you have a long fight they say you should have beaten this guy quicker. Some people you just can’t please. If it is so easy, they can put on a glove and do it themselves. I’ll watch them fight.

Diego is going to take this one, he is hungry and has a lot to prove.
On a side note, anyone notice TICL gets thread happy whenever a Chuck fight is coming up?

If old Diego comes he will pull out a win, but if the Diego comes that fought Kos at 69 Fitch will crush him.

Besides that last dissappoinment performance against Koscheck, Diego was on a winning streak, winning over established good fighters, like Riggs, Nick Diaz, Karo, Alessio, not counting the walk through with Florian who is also a decent fighter. Fitch is a good fighter, but really have not faced good fighters and beat these fighters like Diego did. This will be a tough one for Fitch I think. Diego's pace, and Fitch's style not to give up an inch, will play into Diego's advantage to win this fight.
