    Default UFN 11 Payouts

UFC blog for UFC news, results, videos, rumors, fights, pics and tickets

UFCmania.com has received the fighter payouts for UFC Fight Night 11 from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) for the event held on September 19 at The Palms Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The big money winner? Luke Cummo. Good for him — put some of that scratch on the side for diapers for your soon-to-be child … you’re gonna need it.

Nate Diaz — The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season 5 winner — brought home the next highest purse with $30,000. And Thiago Alves banked $28,000 after a nine-month layoff from competition.

    Not too shabby.

Here are all the UFC Fight Night 11 payouts:

Kenny Florian — $22,000 ($11,000 to show, $11,000 to win)
    Din Thomas — $16,000
Florian defeated Thomas via submission (rear naked choke) in round one

Chris Leben — $20,000 ($10,000 to show, $10,000 to win)
    Terry Martin — $12,000
Leben defeated Martin via knockout in round three

Nate Diaz — $30,000 ($15,000 to show, $15,000 to win)
    Junior Assuncao — $6,000
Diaz defeated Assuncao via submission (guillotine choke) in round one

Nate Quarry — $20,000 ($10,000 to show, $10,000 to win)
    Pete Sell — $10,000
Quarry defeated Sell via technical knockout in round three

Luke Cummo — $32,000 ($16,000 to show, $16,000 to win)
Edilberto “Crocota” de Oliveira — $4,000
Cummo defeated “Crocota” via technical knockout in round one

Cole Miller — $16,000 ($8,000 to show, $8,000 to win)
    Leonard Garcia — $6,000
Miller defeated Garcia via unanimous decision

Gray Maynard — $16,000 ($8,000 to show, $8,000 to win)
    Joe Veres — $3,000
Maynard defeated Veres via knockout in round one

Thiago Alves — $28,000 ($14,000 to show, $14,000 to win)
    Kuniyoshi Hironaka — $10,000
Alves defeated Hironaka via verbal submission (strikes) in round two

Dustin Hazelett — $16,000 ($8,000 to show, $8,000 to win)
    Jonathan Goulet — $6,500
Hazelett defeats Goulet via submission (armbar) in round one

Keep in mind the salaries listed above do not include fight bonuses, sponsorships, percentages and other unofficial payments. For example, fighters receive bonuses for “Submission of the Night,” “Fight of the Night,” and others.

The total fighter payroll for the UFC Fight Night 11 was $273,500.
    There they are.

How does Luke make more money than Leban? Not that he doesn't deserve the money but Leban's was on TV.

Leben was making a lot more before he started losing every fight.

^Ditto. I'm curious about the UFC 75 payouts too. But I don't think they've been announced.

I thought that Nate Diaz would be making a bit more than that. He was still second highest paid, but I thought for winning the TUF show he'd make more than Cummo would for coming in second place.

I don't like Chris Leben, but I'm kinda disappointed that he only made $20,000 for a win. He's fought at 7 of the 11 UFN's so far, as well as UFC 66/71 - he should be making more than this.

I agree on Nate. I missed the fights, but heard they were outstanding and that Nate looked really good.

He's a good young fighter, should be fun to watch him grow as an MMA fighter.

Looks like they are going in the right direction, but I would like to see even the losers get 20,000+. Its gotta be hard to make a living from fighting 3-4 times a year and making less than 10K per fight.

The only really low one was Veres. And if you think about it, 3,000 isn't bad considering he made it in 9 seconds.

Does seem a little odd that Cummo gets more than Leben and Quarry, since they have both been higher profile. I guess Luke just negotiated a better contract. Payouts do seem to be trending up overall, which is a great thing.

I think someone had said that the Athletic commisions were the ones who released the payout info and since UFC 75 wasnt governed under one, thats why they never came out. I had been asking about that as well.

EDIT: Actually the right at the beginning of the statement it says UFC.com received the payouts from NSAC so pretty sure thats the case with 75

I'm guessing that Cummo makes that much for coming in second place on the TUF show. But that's just my guess.

Well whatever the case, I hope we can find out eventually, somehow.

    Question

It did seem strange that Ken-Flo made less that Luke and Ken-Flo had a main event fight. I mean, both Luke and Kenny had been second place contestants on a season of TUF. Ken-Flo actually had a title shot already, and Luke has hardly made it off the undercards. Not that I dislike Luke or feel he did not deserve the cash. The situation just seemed weird.

Anyways, I am thinking that Dana White told ALL of the fighters to F'n finish their fights and NOT let it go to the judges, LOL. WOOHOO! I mean, only ONE fight went to the judges out of the nine fights on the UFN-11 card. THAT had me so damn happy. Bisping-Hamill must have been on the minds of these fighters at UFN-11. Maybe Dana White offerred some hidden bonus money for the fighters that went all out to get a finished fight.

Actually, I know why Luke Cummo made more money the Ken-Flo. I had forgotten that Dana White awarded Luke Cummo with a six-figure contract along with Joe Stevenson based on the awesome fight that Luke Cummo put up against Joe Stevenson at the TUF-2 Finale. Luke lost, but he did it with a lot of effort that made him look really good. Contrast that to how Ken-Flo had been completely demolished by Diego Sanchez at the TUF-1 Finale, and we get the reason why Luke has been making more money.

    Are you sure?
Didn't he make one of those piss-poor TUF-contracts right after the show?

He's 7-3 in the UFC too.
