Karo Parisyan vs Hector Lombard @ UFC 78!
I kno someone that went to a seminar over the weekend hosted by Karo and he said Karo told him that he will be fighting Pride Veteran Hector Lombard at UFC 78 in November.
I only saw Hector fight once in Pride Bushido 11 I think, but he has a 11-2-1 record so it might be a pretty decent match!

I've never seen him fight, but sherdog has him listed as a judo fighter so it could be interesting.

So was I... I thought for sure that current circumstances would have led to that match being next for both fighters... too bad

Agreed - the LW division is deep, but the WW and HW division have greater proportional amounts of top-tier talent in my opinion.

Well the LW is relatively new. I know it's been around for awhile , but it was on hiatus for a bit and we are just starting to see a lot of talented fighters come up in LW now. Give it time. But right now i see it as one of the most stacked divisions out there.

Me too. Too bad it won't happen.
But I guess Lombardo can put on a good fight with Karo too.

lombard's judo is definitely better than karo, and a hell of an athlete, way too strong for his weightclass.he did boxing for a couple of yearss in cuba when he was just a kid,so i guess technically he should be pretty acomplished.never seenhim on mma though.
