Tito Ortiz offered a Pride FC contract!?!
PrideFC has officially stepped up and offered Tito Ortiz a 6 fight deal. At this time nothing has been signed, but for all those doubters out there on whether or not anyone wanted to sign Tito to fight, put that in your pipe and smoke it.
This is factual information gathered from Tito regarding contracts that were received the week of Sept. 19 from PrideFC. Not a rhumor.
Peace and God Bless
Sid.

I think Tito will accept the contract. Even though I dont see him doing to well, he is a big draw, and I am sure thats why Pride offered him the contract. So he will most likely be paid very well.

I knew it was a matter of time beofre he was signed. Silva can now and try to make up for his only big loses because Arona, Belfort, and now Tito fight for Pride.

I don't know. Personally, I'm surprised because when Tito was fighting with Dana White over renewing his UFC contract, his people approached Pride to see what they'd offer him. They told him at the time that they were only interested in booking him on a match-to-match basis, and ONLY if he was still under contract with the UFC. If he wasn't coming over as a representative of the UFC, they didn't want him.
I guess they've changed their tune, and hopefully he can start fighting over there before he completely ruins his rep by acting like a buffoon on TNA wrestling.
There are a lot of exciting match-ups for Tito in Pride. Unfortunately, I think most of the top guys at 205 will kill him. At least with a six fight contract he'll have time to get his warface back on and find his footing. If they book him against someone like Shogun for his first fight, he's in trouble. I like his chances in a Wanderlei rematch, though.

I knew it would just be a matter of time before he signed again. What happened to his WWE contract? Or does he still have it?

It's not WWE, it's a newer, smaller organization called TNA. And yeah -- as far as I know he's under contract to appear at an upcoming event, but I have no idea the extent of the deal. Maybe it's just on a per show basis, which means he'd be free to take a deal with Pride.
BUT... what no one on here is noticing is that it doesn't say anywhere that Tito has accepted this deal, only that Pride has made the offer. Who knows how little they've offered financially, and whether or not he's even going to take it? There are some big scary guys at 205 in Pride, and some people say that Tito doesn't WANT to fight anymore, he just wants to mess around with pro wrestling and focus on his other business ventures. We'll see if this actually develops into anything.

i would suspect that PRIDE is going to use tito to get a large number of new viewers. if he signs with them and starts fighting in japan a lot of UFC fans that would not normally watch PRIDE are going to be glued to the tv. there are still a lot of people who want to see him fight and a lot of people who want to see the 205ers in PRIDE have there way with him. either way it makes scense for PRIDE, it is an easy way to gain more fans.

Like I said in the other thread in the Pride section, I can't stand the guy, but I'm really happy that someone signed him. Just like diablerie27 said, lots of people still want to see him fight, and lots of people want to see the Pride 205s have their way with him. There are plenty of good match ups for him with Pride.

Yeah I think Pride has MUCH better 205s and some that present tough match ups for Tito. I never doubted Tito fighting in a cage with UFC rules. But Pride is a whole other animal.

Finally Tito won't be able to blame Dana for keeping him out of Pride this time. It's put up or shut up time for Tito. Does Tito want to be a fighter or a pro wrestler?

Oh man.. if Tito accepts this offer.. ( if it is even true ), then he has some hardcore competition in.. Silva, Shogun, Arona, Overeem, Little Nog, Yoshida, Nakamura, jackson, Belfort, heck even Igor is a MW.. any of these guys can take him out and make him regret coming to Pride.
And if he wants to play with the big boys in the HW, then.. well, I donīt need to say what would happen to him against Fedor or CroCop.
This is Tito before fighting Fedor
This is Tito AFTER fighting Fedor

I will be suprised if Tito accepts it.... Really suprised, he will get hurt in PRide..... Pride fighters are more technical and smarter fighters than other shows around.... They will make Tito in to a little girl with bleech blonde hair
