    Default Brock Lesnar's opponent?

Who do you think brock should face in his first UFC fight? I would give him Kongo. I just don't think Kongo can beat a guy with good ground skills. We don't know what kind of ground game Brock has but I think that is where the fight would end up. I think Brock would pull out the win.

I think I'd ease him in against someone alittle lower on the food chain. I'd enjoy it if it happened though. Brock has a hell of a hurtle to jump being a crosover from wrestling.
This young man has had a very trying rookie season, with the litigation, the notoriety, his subsequent deportation to Canada and that country's refusal to accept him, I guess that's more than most 21-year-olds can handle.

I say give him AA. A true test to see if he belongs here. IMO i think Brock will be a force to reckon with. But i guess we will just have to wait and see. I really hope they dont coddle him tough.

He claims he deserves top guys right away, because he's already proven himself.

    Yeah.

I say give him what he's asking for. Let him fight Big Nog or even Napao, and they'll show him what MMA's all about.

I agree, Napao is the 1st guy I thought of when I read this thread

Please do. I'm going on record and saying Lesnar's all hype, and he's got a LOOOOONG way to go before he can hang with the top HWs in the sport (despite what he thinks). Don't get sucked in by his pro wrestling legacy, man. He's not gonna F-1 or F-5 or F-4 anyone (whatever the %$#%^ move was called).

Brock Lenar has had one MMA fight. I doubt that he will be a title contender for at least a year or two and maybe not even then. All he has to do is win his matches against whomever they throw at him. I hope that they give him three or four lower level guys before they start tossing him in with the best of the best at HW. I would rather see what he can do before seeing him in there with Nogueira or Napao or Kongo or Cro-Cop or whatever. If Brock goes 5-0 and looks good doing it, then toss him in against top level guys.

I think that Lesner has a solid base to make a good MMA career with. That said, Im not sure he is ready for the top tier opponents he's asking for. I think he should have to fight his way up the ranks just as everyone else has had to do. He is an unproven entity in MMA at the moment and needs to show that he deserves to fight the top guys.

He has solid wrestling skills, hes a very big fighter, and he's very physical. However, how will any of that translate to his standup game and his defense on his feet. Those are things we have yet to see from him or how he will react when he gets pushed in an unfamiliar situation.

I think he has great potential but has yet to "prove" anything to anyone.

I agree completely (which feels weird), but a couple of months ago he was saying it's disrespectful to his abilities and accomplishments to suggest that he's not already a contender. He said that when and if he signed with the UFC, he expected a shot at Couture pretty much right off the bat.

    Delusional.

I agree with Sitinspin. This is pure theatrics by The UFC signing Lesnar.

I'd put Vera in there with him. Make his first test be someone athletic.

I think that a match between Lesner and Herring would be entertaining. I also think that a match with either Fabricio Werdum , Gabrial Gonzaga, Christian Wellisch, or Assuerio Silva would all be entertaining.

If he could put up a few wins, like Sub suggested, and look halfway impressive while doing so, then toss him a larger bone to chew on.

    Gabrial Gonzaga vs Brock .

Watch how fast Gonzaga puts him In a submission or chops him down with leg kicks .

Brock Is a complete moron and Is way too cocky with no reason to be . I bet alot of people either don't know him or just think he Is a beast , A built version of Big tim and If the average MMA fan can't stand the excuses coming from his mouth wait till they get a dose of Brock LOL

Whatever you may think, Brock Lesnar is now an MMA fighter. Don't bash on him and call him a moron. He needs time to develop, but he's not a pro-wrestler anymore. I am 100% sure that his UFC contract forbids him from ever performing in pro-wrestling while under contract with the UFC. Give the guy a chance. He's a NCAA wrestling champion.

I was exited about this b/c I watched wrestling when I was younger, but then I thought he has no real experience in this all he has is size. I think he'll lose a few before he comes off strong.

I want to see him fight Gonzaga.

Napao hasnt fought since August so he should be due to fight soon, would be nice if they put this on the December card.

Good guess, now that you said that I can totally see that happening. If the UFC wants to build up Brock why not put him against a guy who has shown to have no TD defense as of late.
