So the Wandy vs Chuck is finally going to happen.. should be GREAT

Hughes vs Serra will be good

Nog vs Kongo will be good

Now Penn vs either or would make for a really stacked fight card.

I know he beat up a cop and has that to deal with, but Does anyone know if this has been confirmed???

From what I have heard the Nog/Kongo fight is no longer happening. Sylvia and Nog are rumored to fight for the vacant title.

Penn hit a cop a really long time ago and I don't think he ever was or will be suspended it for. This is fight is up in the air because of Sherk. His appeal is on the 31 so we will see then.

What happens if Penn does get a conviction of some sort for assault on a Police officer?

Does the UFC have some sort of moral obligation to suspend him?

I am sure there are fighters within the UFC with criminal convictions of some kind.

Do we judge fighters on what they do in the cage or how they live there lives?

In a lot of sports the governing body does take a dim view of legal infractions I just dont know if the UFC is the same.

Penn and hitting a cop story is nothing to worry about anymore!! It's all in the past..

And he even wasn't punished for not letting go of his choke to Pulver!!!

Anyways..

I heard somewhere that he'll be fighting early next year.. Not in UFC 79!!

Theres not one place ken-flo is better then joe besides elbows...So either way it will be joe vs penn

I disagree. I think Ken Florian can hold his own against anyone in the division. That includes Stevenson, who had difficulty beating Cummo, a fighter similar to Florian but, IMO, inferior.

Do you watch the UFC or something like UFC Iran? Florian has been outstanding of late and it is unquestionably top 5 in the division.

LOL are you sean sherk's cousin? kenny florian has had a great amount of improvement after fighting sherk, beating din thomas, alvin robinson, and mishima. not by decision, either. hes got a solid standup and great ground game. i really cant think of any lightweights right now that could put him to sleep.

Excuses, excuses. He beat Thomas and that's the end of it. Why can't Shogun or Mirko make excuses about getting hurt and no one is complaining about Thomas's? Bottom-line is that he hurt himself during the fight, and everything counts.

Alvin Robinson is no joke and Florian dominated him hands down. He fought 5 rounds with Sherk and did better than Franca, who is considered an outstanding fighter. Florian's fight with Mishima was completely one sided and Mishima is hardly a douche at 17-6-2, having fought in PRIDE. He put out Sam Stout, who has a win against a top fighter as Fisher, in less than 2 minutes. He destroyed Kit Cope who is a Muay Thai legend.

Don't be silly. Florian is the real deal.

As much as I cant stand Kenflo I have to say he is in the top 5 in his division. To say "he fights to not lose" is not only ignorant and ill thought out, it just simply isn't true.

Not exactly...I would lean towards Stevenson if they fought, but Florian does a lot of things well.

^^^^I don't think there are 10 lightweights in the UFC who would beat Kenflo.

But there are plenty of badass lightweights elsewhere as well.
