Default Lyota Machida vs Anderson Silva??? Should Machida drop to 185?

I think Machida could easily make 185 and give Silva a good run for his $$$ .. regardless if he hasn't finished his last few fights. I think this fight would be a war. I don't see anyone right now in the MW division that is a true threat to Silva.. He's just on another level .. Machida looked great against Franklin & Bonnar .. I think Machida vs Silva would be the only chance in saving the MW division from falling off.. what do you guys think???

If he could make the weight, I think Machida could win by rear-naked decision.

Would be interesting if he did, but for some reason I think he will stay at LHW just because of the competition.

Why move down when no one can beat him in the LHW div.
Should he move down just because Dana White is to "boring" to let him meet the best/fight for the title?

These are the two best in mma right now. Why move down when Machida can be champion at 205 lbs and Silva can remain untouchable at 185 lbs?

Of course Machida would give Anderson a run for his money. Big time. But I would rather see Machida kick everyone's asses in LHW and shut plenty of mouthes here in FF and around the UFC in general.

IMO I think Lyoto Machida has not be tested at this very moment, dont get me wrong he's an awesome fighter, but I'd like see him against some top tier fighters , like Wandy , Shogun , tito, Hendo , Rampage , Chuck etc.

I agree with anderson probably being one of the best two in mma. But I think you're going a little far in saying Machida is the best or second best in mma. He's beaten some good people, but I don't think that he has beaten the best. 5 out of his last 6 fights have gone to a decision. If you are the best in mma I think you should be at least finishing some fights. Don't get me wrong, I think he is a good fighter, but I think there are definitely some people at 205 who would beat him.

I also think that Anderson would probably knock him out if they fought, although I doubt they ever will.

I'd still rather see Anderson Silva move up to LHW.

He said on a recent Beatdown episode that he's happy at LHW and doesnt want to drop.

He also said he originally fought at HW and only dropped to LHW because his coaches bugged him to.

Good point! I would imagine Joe Silva and the matchmaking crew will attempt to exhaust other options before it ever comes to this one.

So many Silvas out there...
