Matt "Woogie" Lindland has an iron chin.
It's just that his takedowns just as incredible.
It was a battle of titans, and the takedown won that time.

And Silva doesn't hit as hard as Terrell or Franklin or Tito, so all points on Woogie fo sho'.

this made me spit out what i was drinking. darn near ruined a keyboard. anyhow, i think Matt Lindland matches up well with Silva. Its obvious that Lindland has no intention of making this a Muay Thai match so right there you know he has a better gameplan that Franklin or Leben. He'll most likely be focusing on closing the distance, avoid being hit and go for a trip takedown. From there he'll maintain position, work some GnP and probably look for a decision win if he can't beat Silva by Ko or TKO.

WHy do some of you want to see Silva stripped off his belt ?

I never heard anyone complaint when Chuck Lidell was champion for a long time???????

I'll say one thing though..

get used to it because Silva WILL HOLD ONTO THAT BELT for a LONG LONG TIME !

....he only gets better each time

AND......he would beat Linland IMO too. Silva would eventually KO him over the course of 5 rounds....

I don't think anyone wants Silva to be stripped of his belt. A lot of people (myself included) just want to see him defend his belt against better competition. Franklin is probably the #2 guy at that weight right now and he is obviously way behind Silva. Hendo and Lindland make the weight class more interesting and if Silva beats all comers then he can have the belt as long as he keeps winning. Wanting to see good fights and a strong weight class in no way disrespects Silva.

Yes Hendo does deserve an imediate title shot. He is/was the Pride champion at 185 and the fact that it would be a unification alone means it should happen.

i like Silva as a champion, he makes for exciting fights. Although i never expected him to plow through the division like he has. I was especially disappointed by Marquardt's performance. i was'nt so surprised to see him beat Rich again. its all about having him fight guys who are on the same level and right now there does'nt seem to be anyone left. Matt Lindland is an obvious choice when you begin looking outside the UFC for talent.

Silva just beat/finished Hendo who IMO is a better MMA fighter and more dangerous opponent for him than Lindland.....
