Shogun says "good chance I'll fight Tito"
according to ufcmania.com, shogun discussed the possibility of fighting tito in an upcoming bout ( UFC Quick Quote: Shogun talks about a fight with Tito Ortiz at UFC blog for UFC news, results, videos, rumors, fights, pics and tickets — MMAmania.com (UFCmania.com))
“… I don’t choose my opponents but I can fight Ortiz, no problem. Now that I have a recent defeat I will need to prove that I can have the UFC belt and Ortiz is probably living with the same situation. There is good chance for this fight to happen.”

I'd love to see it. I just hope Shogun takes the right amount of time to recover from surgery and train for this fight. The last thing I want to see is him coming into a fight less than 100% again.

I kinda think Tito is a bad match-up for Shogun. Tito is gonna want to put Rua on his back and GnP. I know Rua has solid BJJ but i don't think Tito would have much problem with him on the ground if he gets on top. Rua better show up in shape for this one.
Let the flaming begin.

I think Tito is a bad match up for Shogun but I like this fight for that reason. I am a big Shogun fan and after the losing to Griffen he will have to have a good performance to make up for that.

10K side bet ? If the fight ever happens.
Also , you do know that Rua has only 1 sub win in 19 fights right ?

I think Shogun is the better fighter, but Tito could win this one.
Via a boring decision, of course. How else.
I'll be gutted if that happens.
Anyway, I wanna see this one as well and WAR SHOGUN.

Hey, awesome! I can really get behind anyone who wants to knock Tito out. I really want to like Shogun, so this is good for me.

I hate to say it but I also agree with you. I can see Tito grinding out a lnp decision, although I'd be rooting for Shogun.

Tito by LnP with a dash of GnP. =( Just don't think Rua is going to be able to deal with Titos size/strength in HIS enviroment....in the ring this would be a different outcome. =(
Tito has stated he won't fight Rampage though right?

I could see Shogun getting in real trouble by not being allowed to use knees when Tito goes for the takedown

If Shogun can avoid beaing taken down he is a much better striker then Tito and would have the advantage in a stand-up war. If Tito is able to take Shogun down Tito's gnp skills and strength advantage will come into play and Shogun would simply be overpowered on the ground. Would be an interesting fight, I could see it going either way.
