LOL, so Rashad will now have an opportunity to finnish fights. Unlike before, when he had no opportunity to finnish his fights. That's some funny stuff !!

Yeah it is a complete circus. Not like that other MMA org that went away. They had reputable fighters like Giant Silva, Akebono, Sapp, and Zulu. I mean UFC can't compete with the level of MMA talent there. Don't forget Rulan Gardner he was sooooooooo accomplished in MMA before he went to said org. he just is different though right? I mean keep a standard here if you hate on the UFC for 1 sideshow type match then where were you when the fighters mentioned above were fighting in Japan? Luckily though, Fedor has moved on to fighting REAL contenders like Lindland and Hong Man Choi. Lindland is an excellent fighter. Choi however may be a little bit less talented, but hey! He is big.
Get over it. UFC will make $$ on Lesnar and every other fighter they sign. They win you whine whatever.

I am looking forward to the Mir-Lesnar match.
It should be interesting to see what Lesnar can do.

If Brock Lesnar wins against Frank Mir, then will Lesnar get any respect?

God willing,Mir really is back. However,I do believe that there are guys in my gym who could sub Hardonk relatively easy.
Recent fights lead me to believe Brock will eat his face.
One thing is certain,Lesnar won't gas, while Mir is always questionable.
This hurts to say.

This is the exact reason why Mir is going to have to finish this fight quick. His experience should allow him to take advantage of the smallest mistake that Lesnar may make after he gets a takedown. If Mir can't sub Brock in the first few minutes it probably is'nt going to happen at all.

This is really a crapshoot. Who really knows? Lesnar has fought once! No one knows what he'll be like. He must have it all figured out and will ko Mir in 30 seconds or he may get his arm up his anus within those 30 seconds.
We know what Mir does and what he does not. But as far as Lesnar... Nada, brothers. Nada de nada.

I agree, Lesnar had one fight and in that fight he didn;t show too much. Who knows where he is at? Also, I wanna know how is his standup. He is really bulky and that may be a hinderance on his striking. Mir's striking didn't look half bad against Vera.

Actually, there was that article a while back when Brad Imes told the interviewer that his stand-up was pretty much non-existent when he trained with him. I imagine whoever Brock is with now is trying to fix that problem quite extensively. That being said, I wouldn't even be surprised if Mir's game plan was to strike with Brock, wait for Brock to take HIM down and THEN work subs from there (if it happens). Mir's stand-up has never been considered "great" but I'm sure it's a long ways ahead of Brock's.

well he is in the top position he seems overly worried about being submitted, while at the same time he is able to keep an opponent on the ground and has shown some ability to advance position, so yea laugh and all that bull**** illl just keep watching fights and creating my own opinions

Unless I've missed it, I'd like to see SPIKE and ZUFFA do a special with Lesnar training, preparing for his Octagon debut. True, they have time, but since the press conference announcing Brock, I haven't heard much, and seen less...
Brock Lesnar's fight vs Frank Mir, while some might say is not a "Main Event", IS a huge media event. It will sell BIG PPV numbers.
How do I see the fight going down? Well, like I said, I'd like to physically see Lesnar, and how his training is progressing (can you say "All Access") before I make a call. However, even if Mir comes to fight in shape, he must be able to weather the storm that Brock will bring early, or sub him just as quick. If this fight fight makes it out of the 1st Round, Brock will win via GNP/Referee Stoppage. Brock is just too strong to get subbed by a gassed Frank Mir.
Lesnar via TKO, GNP-late Round 2, early Round 3

You are right, he does seem overly concernd about that from the top. It is just the way you worded it that made it seem funny to me, that's all. You should always create your own opinions and stick by them !

a lot of you seem to be taking a pretty cynical view on this fight :/
im a big frank mir fan and would really like to see him submit lesnar. watching someone in the heavyweight division pull off submissions like he did in the pete williams fight is a great thing to watch
