My synopsis of the Frank Mir vs Brock Lesnar fight
First I would like to make a point about Frank that has been made before. When he started to fight mma he seemed like he was a genuine contender for the heavyweight tiltle. A few fights later he had the belt strapped around his waist. Then he was handed an accident by fate. He did not seem the same after that. He was over weight in the fight against Dan Christison and his standup did not look sharp against Brandon verra. He did not look like he was mentally prepared. But in his last fight against Antoni Hardonk I heard he was looking like his old self(has any one got a link to this fight). It must be paying off training with Randy Couture. I have heard there are some top notch fighters training there. James Thompson has recently joined from britain. If Mir comes in in good shape and his stand up is on point I think he will win easily. He has a lot more MMA experience then Lesnar. I think Lesnar is just power. I think his wrestling ability is world class but I just can't see him demolishing Mir. If he does take Mir down. I think Mir will work a submission and that will be the end of the fight.

What do you guys think?
I think this is how it will happen when (not if) the fight goes to the ground.
I also think this could have gone in the other thread.
I see an attempt at an armbar will fail due to the upper-body power of lesnar. I really see Mir grabbing a leg just like he did to tank. I am hoping Mir is "back" like he said after his last fight. I see him winning by sub.
Mir punches Lesnar in the mouth, then submits Lesnar via flying armbar.
He should try the flying leg scissor into a heel hook that Ryo Chonan did to Anderson Silva if it doesn't work, at least we might get treated to a powerbomb by Lesnar or something...

LOL...That SB video was funny. Like many on here have mentioned, Mir has always had a problem with chardio. He is such (was/is?) a great fighter and very, very skilled in submission, but after half a round he runs out of gas. I thought I've heard that he really doesn't train like he should which is such as waste of talent if its true.
I personally don't think big Tim would have gotten out of that arm bar even if his forearm didn't snap.
It also really depends on what kind of shape Mir is in for the fight. It's very likely he might gas out during the pre-fight introductions.
Ha ha,that made me laugh. Maybe we should get a wheelchair for Mir and somebody could push him to the Octagon.
I've never been that impressed with Mir since being beaten by Ian Freeman. Unless there are really good odds for this, I certainly won't be betting either way.
