Holy hell! I would have killed to see the Pistols!! I'm a huge punk rock fan myself, good to see we still exist I'm big into hardcore punk too, not the overly "metal" ( I do like metal as well, but not diluting my hardcore ) or whiney stuff, I prefer along the lines of Black Flag, Kill Your Idols, Ignite etc...
It's funny you mention this. On the way to BJJ I was listening to Ignite and was thinking to myself that I'd come down the ramp to a few of their tunes. I'd have to say "Strength" or "Bullets Included no Thought Required", both by Ignite. I reccomend you all check 'em out, perfect pre fight pump up tunes!
"I have always said that if you need steroids to compete you are not a fighter. Fighting is all about heart, technique and capitalizing upon your opponents mistakes. It is not about putting something into your body and walking around with big muscles saying look at me. In my book if you are on steroids you are a loser."

sorry to take this post away from the original subject-Which I am still VERY INTERESTED IN. but mate I have a ticket to see the Pistols again tomorrow night!!!!!! Also I am going to see the Buzzcocks who are supported by Chelse a and Subway Sect on the 30th November.!!!!
I like quite a lot of American Hardcore.(I do know that a very good friend of mine had an altercation with a certain Jimmy Gestapo in Manitoba's Bar in NYC a few years ago and sat him on his arse!!-My pal was in NYC and looking after a very well known English Bassist who plays with both UK and USA Punk bands but whose name I will not mention on here)
Long Live Punk.
Still would love to walk into the Octagon with some Black Flag or Dead Kennedys-How about there cover of Viva Las Vegas if you where fighting there!!!

Jimmy G! My old band used to play with Murphys Law, love those guys. The look on everyones face as you came out to a lo-fi old school hardcore punk cover would be priceless! And yeah, I'm really jealous of you for getting to see these shows Have a blast and give me the play by play!

Hahaha. My friends and I were talking about this during the last UFC. In order to get into the mindset of beating the crap out of people for a living, I'd probably have to go with:
Cannibal Corpse - Hammer Smashed Face
If I were to take a more zen approach to the fight, I'd probably go with chanting performed by the Tibetan Gyuto Monks:
