there is no way henderson has better submission skills than anderson silva

I might not say he has the better ability to slap a sub on someone, but he has the better defense I think.

Well TICL, that maybe the most acurate, well spoken comment I have seen in this thread.

AND I agree 100%, great analysis, lets hope you are correct.

Thanks you Greenman:D and yes lets do hope that I am correct.

This will be a unification bout.

LOL didn't they say the same thing about his fight with Jackson? Win or lose that Pride belt ain't going nowhere.

OK my breakdown.

Hendo has a better chin with I would say more power in his hands, but Silva doesn't have a bad chin himself and he has lots of power, but most of all pinpoints striking.
I would give the edge to Silva in cardio. The clinch is a hard one to call. Hendo has a great greco roman clinch and Anderson has a great Mui Thai clinch. I would definately give all the ground game to hendo. Better positioning, GnP, and maybe subs. The standup is givin to Silva, but I doubt he can keep it on his feet. I say Hendo by GNP in round 3

Undisputed. Awesome movie. It was a boxing movie and not an mma movie, but badass just the same.

I think I am more pumped about this fight than any other fight in the last couple of years. I am a big fan of both fighters, Hendo a little more than Silva.

Yeah you got it bro, I got the dvd and I agree it is a good movie. I am also pretty pumped for this fight as well....

Andre Arlovski has never lost by submission. So if he fought Big Nog it would be totally ludicrous to say he would get subbed?

As CounterPuncher pointed out... No, what that means is that AA is hard as hell to submit until proven otherwise, which is exactly what I said about Silva's chin. If the guy has never been ko'ed, how can any one go around saying that his chin is worse than someone else's? It does not make sense.

No, but you said that Henderson has the better chin, and that is just pure speculation. Because neither of them have ever lost by KO, so that is just you favoring Hendo there.

Come on! Silva has never even been close to being ko'ed. That, in my book, means that he has a chin of steel until proven otherwise. Thus, stronger than Hendo, Liddell, Godzilla or Hulk Hogan for the time being. So, for anyone to bet he's losing by GNP... That's a bit ludicrous.

And, as far as breaking down fights. Try breaking down Serra-GSP and then make sense of what happened in their first encounter.

I believe Silva, if only out of respect, deserves the favorite status. Hendo is underdog because, even though he's PRIDE champ, he is the challenger.

I didnt even know what the other guys were saying bro, I was just joking around (hint the smiley) so you assumed I was backing whoever you were arguing w/.....

I heard that line in a movie (not exact) and your response was a chance to use it.....

Does Silva's knees both being hacked have anything to do with this? 100% Anderson puts Lutter away in under 4 minutes IMO

Well, knees being bad or not, the bottom-line is that Lutter can and is willing to take a punch while he tries to take an opponent down. It is not that surprising that he had Silva on his back. That said, yeah, it was a matter of time before Silva did what he did.
