Rashad wants Forrest next
Rashad Evans Wants Forrest Griffin - MMAFightLine.com
I've gotta go with Forrest on this one. I see Rashad gassing out late and Griffin with the TKO.

If Rashad comes into the fight in shape he will manhandle Forrest. Behind Randy, Forrest is the most overrated fighter in the UFC.

Rashad has great ground control and his wrestling is top notch. However Forrest has the mind of Randy Couture behind him to help form a strategy. If anyone can come up with a great gameplan for Forrest its Randy.

I can't think of anyone I would want to see Rashad fight. However, if this fight happens I'll go with Forrest.

I don't have facts or stats to back up my argument, but I really just envision Forest dominating Rashad. I feel like Forest wants it more. I believe he is tougher, has more heart. (Forest beat, no, crushed, Shogun by the way).

I think this is the most appropreaite match up next for Rashad. It's also IMO the best way about going for the title. To gradually step up after each win to a fighter with better skills.
No doubt about it, Griffen is a serious challenge for Evans.

Yea Forrest beat an injured, uninspired Shogun. Wait until the rematch, Forrest will be lucky if he can continue fighting afterwards.

What makes you think that Forrest is overrated, let alone the second most overrated fighter in the ufc??
He just dominated a fighter that many placed near, or at the top of the LHW division. Granted Shogun wasnt preforming at the top of his game, but still, the last time he was submitted was 4 years ago.
I dont think its that stupid that Rashad wants to fight some more before he fights for the title. Most people (me included) would write him off if he was going to have a title fight with Rampage next event, so he needs to prove himself. He also has a lot of improving to do...

I will go with Forrest on this one. I have not been impressed with Evans. I just feel Forrest wants to win more.
I hope this is not to determine who fights Rampage. I don't want to wait that long to see him fight.

Can we make one thing clear, the greatest LHW in the world is either W Silva or Chuck Liddel. Them loosing a fight or 2 does not change that for me.
Still they need to win a few to get in the title mix again I think.
Shogun has a lot to prove, Forest and Rashad has a ton to prove.
Rashad need a lot of harder matches and so do Forest.
They are getting there, but they are not like even close to be top 3 yet in my eyes. Having one good macth do not make you number 2 like some Griffin fans seem to think. Even though Chuck and Silva lost they're last fights I still consider them in front of both Rashad and Forest.
UFC should give Jardin a title match for beating Chuck Liddel the former champion and for beating the crap out of a crying Forest.
Thiago Silva/Forest/Rashad/Machida should fight for the next title match.
Maybe Wanderlei if he can beat Chuck which I think he will struggle to do.

People try to downplay the Forrest Griffin win over Shogun. But, the fact is that Griffin DID win and he finished Shogun, the NUMBER ONE ranked LHW in the world by most every ranking out there. If Shogun Rua was so hurt or injured, then he should have pulled out of the fight. Doerkson fought Herman because a fighter pulled out. So, I don't think excuses for Shogun will demean the quality of the win for Griffin, not IMO.
A Rashad Evans versus Forrest Griffin fight would be a good match, IMO. I want to see them fight. We just saw Evans beat Bisping If Evans beats Griffin, the Evans would be the undisputed best LHW winner of TUF ever, LOL. For whatever that's worth. Bragging rights, I guess. But, I actually think that Forrest will win. And, a match against Bisping and Griffin down the road would be interesting to complete this best of TUF LHWs competition, LOL.

How is Forrest overrated all of a sudden? I don't think anyone beating Shogun can be considered a "fluke" under any circumstances... actually no, I can think of one:
[insert fighter] is caught in Shogun's triangle and just before he taps, the referee accidentally steps on Shogun's face, opening up the triangle and allowing for GnP from the guard, which opens up a nasty cut on Shogun, resulting in doctor stoppage. The ref apologizes afterwards and explains that he was too busy looking at the Octagon girls at ringside. See what I did there? Purely hypothetical situation
If anyone is "overrated" here, it's Rashad still... he's progressed a lot since TUF, but not so much in recent fights in my opinion. Forrest meanwhile, has improved a VERY significant amount since his last fight (prior to Shogun).

First of all I believe that Shogun would have to beat Silva and Chuck to be in front of them. Just my thought. This actually shows how ranking can suck, when they put someone that have never been a champ to be number one
(Norway was once number 2 in the world in football, This does not mean I thought we where better then England/Brazil/Germany/Holland/Italy etc.)
I am not trying to downplay it by any means. All I say is I do not agree in Shogun ever being number one as long as he never faced Chuck or Silva when he was at top. He did not even face the one to take the title away from Silva which was Dan Henderson.
Second is that one fight does not mean you will be number one/two in my book.
Winner of Rashad/Forest should get a title shot if you ask me.
But then again, how long can they look pass Machida if he keeps winning.
