The Caesar Gracie Jiu Jitsu-trained Diaz is fresh off a submission win (guillotine) over Junior Assuncao at UFC Fight Night 11 in September. It was his first bout since defeating Manny Gamburyan at the TUF 5 Finale to become the 155-pound winner of the mixed martial arts reality series that airs on SpikeTV.

Robinson bounced back from a punishing loss to Kenny Florian (verbal submission) in his Octagon debut at UFC 73: “Stacked” to beat Jorge Gurgel to a bloody pulp at UFC 77: “Hostile Territory” last month en route to a unanimous decision win.

Both Diaz and Robinson are well known for their submission games; however, the edge on the ground would have to go to Diaz in this one — he’s very crafty. “The Kid,” on the other hand, is very strong and powerful.

I really like Robinson. I think he had UFC jitters against Florian, and Florian is a really good fighter. I think that if Alvin can control the bottom positioning he can win. Nates best chance is to get some kind of submission from the bottom.

I think Nate takes this by Triangle, or Alvin by decision. I'll take Nate though.

I gotta go with Diaz here. It's a great match-up for him, just like it was for Florian. Robinson is no joke and will offer Diaz a tough fight, but i see Nate as better in every area. He has the more dynamic BJJ. He will not make the mistakes Gurgel made on bottom.

I say Diaz takes it. I think that Diaz will pull of some crazy sub from the bottem.

WOW, cant beleive im the only one to vote for robinson. Ya nate is good in BJJ, but Robinson is a brown belt, and just tooled a high level black belt in Gurgel. Bad matchup for Diaz.

Yea I'm going with Robinson on this one, he beat the hell out of Gurgel.
