staying away from the politics, there is a true misconception about American culture throughout the globe. Recently I met and became friends with a retired Secret Service agent who has visited over 140 countries in his career (he has served every President since Richard Nixon including Dubya.) He tells me that most people's perception of the United States comes through TV shows, not even necessarily new ones either. I forgot the older shows that he mentioned, but he did say that he saw a lot of people who believe everyone in America are like the Sopranos. I can see that being a contributing factor as to why most of the world hates us.

By the way, that dude has some of the craziest stories I have ever heard in my life.

I do not think the rest of the world hate America but I do belive many will dissagrea with a lot of Amerian politics. Epsecialy out side USA.
When it comes to a lot of people having a view on Amercia from TV shows that count for all the positive views as well and should even out.
But breaking human rights is not the same as a bad TV show and it would not help to go to USA to learn about it since it is not in USA it happen.

When that is sayd I am not any nation hater at all and I have been to USA 2 times and had a great time bouth of them. USA have great power and with great power follows great responsebillety. When you as a country chose to get involved in so many things that is not youre problem and to step outside the UN and make war on youre own then you will get hated. It is just logic.

When we are isolationists, which I prefer, then Hitlers, Stalins, and Saddams run amok. When the US steps up and swats down these types of tyrants and mass killers, then we are evil because we dared to get involved. There was huge resentment towards the US for staying out of WW2 for so long and then only stepping in after Pearl Harbor. The same stuff happened in WW1. Quite frankly, it's better for the US to not be isolated. It's more expensive, but it would be worse in the long run.

And, there are roughly 200 countries on this planet, and the US is FAR from the worst human rights violators. German and Japan in WW2 make the US look like the sweetest, kindest old lady you ever knew. Saddam Hussien and Slobodan Milosivic and Stalin and that idiot in North Korea are the guys people needed to be pointing fingers at around the world. Stalin reportedly killed 30 million people. His OWN people. The world stood buy and complained about the US instead of acting against Stalin.

Ah, whatever...

Back to Chuck Liddell. Why do people think that Liddell needs Filho? It seems like people think that Liddell has lost alread. I seriously doubt this fight will even go to the ground. I think it will be a slugfest standing until we get a KO one way or the other. Filho is a non-factor, IMO. Why all the BS about him?
