Roger Huerta is a rising star in the UFC’s lightweight division. This Saturday, Huerta faces Clay Guida in the main event of The Ultimate Fighter 6 Finale. MMA Madness’ Ryan McKinnell caught up with “El Matador” last week. Here are highlights of the interview.

MMA Madness: So how’s everything going? I take it you’re up in Minnesota?

Huerta: Yes I am. I’m up in Minneapolis. I actually just bought a place up here and we just got all moved in -- but yeah, we are out here just working hard.

MMA Madness: Now, who is we? You and Dave Menne?

Huerta: Yup. We is Dave Menne, my longtime MMA coach, and Justin Hagan, my strength and conditioning coach. So we are just up here and training hard.

Huerta is such a level headed guy it's amazing, he will be ready for his fight no question. And Guida well he's an animal, he's ready for anything haha.. I honestly see Huerta getting a title shot before the end of 08 and I can't wait. I just don't see Huerta losing I mean nobody fights with more heart then this guy, he's well rounded and has amazing conditioning. Huerta has everything to gain and nothing to lose, he will leave it all out there.
