Meh, all you BJ-haters are boring me. I is officially bored now.

Why did Sherk get the first shot at the LW-title?
Who had he beaten at 155? Oh, nobody, you say?
Izza outrage!!!
Who has BJ beaten? Other then Pulver who doesn't even belong at the LW division, BJ hasn't done anything in about a year or two.

Sean Sherk has only lost too two of the best fighter's in the world and the fight's weren't even at his natural weight class, he dropped back down to 155 lbs. And beat Nick Diaz who is a top ranked fighter.

I think Sherk deserves it ten time's more then Penn.

I like em both a lot. I really think Penn has one of the best styles in the UFC imo. If the two were to meet in the cage, I be routing for "The Prodigy" no doubt.

I would have to disagree buddy. Sherk was Given that first title shot simply because he was the biggest name in the division at the time. BJ lost to those same two fighters at the same weight that Sherk did. And Whether or not Jen Pulver belonged at LW is debatable I mean he was the only other LW champ in the UFc

I also have to disagee with you on "sherk deserving it ten times more than Penn" He got stripped of his title and like what UFC did to Tim, it is unfair...Sherk should work his way back up the latter to get a title shot.... and it is all about the money that UFC is doing. Whoever wins this match between Penn v Stevenson and if Penn wins, then UFC can make a big payday when Sherk and Penn fight and that is what this is all about, $$$$$.

The title of this event if Penn wins, will be Sherk vs. Penn "Bad Blood"

but the fact is that he tested positive and the CSAC did not 100% clear him so not only should he be punished officially, but the UFC should take initiative in showing some semblance of a 0 tolerance policy by doing something other than....i dono...giving him a title shot his first fight back from suspension

its not a good precedent and it is not fair to previous title holders that failed their tests and had to bite and claw their way back into contention
I totally agree with you.

Nonsense.

Like asronn pointed out, BJ's losses came to the exact same guys, GSP and Hughes. And he gave them a lot tougher fights than Sherk too.
And as far as "dropping back down to 155", I do believe Sherk's first fight at 155 was the title shot against Kenflo.

So, since "who they've beaten at 155" is such a big deal...
Sherk hadn't beaten anyone before his title shot, BJ had beaten Din Thomas, Caol Uno, Matt Serra, Takanori Gomi and Jens Pulver to name a few.
