It seems a lot of you are acting like this will be the official price from here on out(if it is someone correct me because I am not going to read the entire article). When in the article it only states that this event will be for $44.95. I think this is very smart for the UFC because you are going to be getting a lot of WWE fans buying this card to see what Brock Lesnar can do.

Brock Lesnar: "No One Can Do What I Can Do" I guess he was talking about raising the prices of pay per views

pay per views are $40 in australia, which is a bit cheaper than in america because of the exchange rate

It's worse enough that the latest UFC Pay-Per-View's have been for the most part lack luster, and now they are increasing the price? Give me a break.

All I have to say is this will make me watch even LESS UFC than I do now. Thanks for further burning me out on a sport I once rabidly followed Dana. I hope you get the clap.

This means I have to eat even more penut butter and jellys to save the extra cash. Not cool. Or just split it with friends I guess.

I'm sitting at my desk here and I bought 8 PPV's this year in The UFC (well 9) if you count the UFC 79 coming up. @ 39.99 I spent 319.00.

Hell i even bought UFC 71 and I ATTENDED UFC 71 (rampage Liddell). SO that's 39.99 + 1000 bucks (2 500 dollar tickets) 494.00 bucks for the 2 night hotel stay and 1500 in spending cash. so that weekend for UFC 71 was the biggest expenditure I put out for The UFC. $3033.

Jeezus. 3033.00 + 319.00 = $3319 bucks? Jeezus. That's how much I spent on The UFC this year? Can I write this off. Accountants anyone?

I guess I'm just a junkie. So now it's 44.95?

Hmm.

I think I'll have to work more OT

Yeah no kidding. That is just bad really. I mean come on are they not making enough or did the Randy cries for more money make us the consumer bear the butt of the fighters cries.

I wouldn't mind paying it if the UFC would drop all the ad's in the damn PPV. It really pisses me off when they say "UFC ** is brought to you by mickys" when i paid $40 for it.

I couldn't agree with you more!! That is totally lame to have to watch. Also I see a lot of people saying Dana's pockets when he really is only seeing 10% of the returns and may not be the man behind the price increase. I'll still pay the $45 of course because I freaking love this ****. lol It does suck because I never charge people to come watch a fight at my place and I usually have free beer and food to throw around. At $45 this isn't going to break me by any means but I would hate to see $60 fights where I had to have a cover charge.

Yeah, I think so.

It's possible that WWE fans wanna see that fight more than MMA fans - you're right, Dana knows that but still not cool.

Not to mention these prices don't include the B.S. taxes associated with the purchase.

The cost of everything is going up, not just PPV. This all reminds me of when the cost of bowling in our league when up from 9 to $10 dollars. I could'nt believe how many people complained. In the end our league voted to not pay the extra dollar. Instead it was taken out of the prize fund and the bowling alley closed the next year since they could'nt compensate for the increase in heating fuel costs. But i saved a dollar every week. If the UFC is something you enjoy watching then whats the big deal about a couple bucks?

It adds up!!!

In six months you're out $29.76. There are better places where you could have spent that money. Maybe putting more gas in your car or taking your lady for a movie.

The point is that everything is going up. Cost of living, gas, food. Anything you could think of is going up and ofcourse the salaries are not going up. So it may only seem like chump change in the beginning, but it adds up. All people are going to end up doing is putting more money in Dana's pocket. Hopefully with this PPV increase the fighters pay increase too, but I highly doubt it.

So if it's not that bad then why won't you pay it?
I have never bought UFC PPV in my life.. why? becuase the price is to expensive to begin with when I can download it the next day. What i'm saying is if you are willing to actully blow $40 on a PPV becuase you have to watch it that night, whats an extra $5? A few cents on gas, are you seriously you think it's a big deal, just stay home one night and bam you saved that money. Same with the PPV just don't get 1 single PPV and you saved the money.. it's not a big deal at all get over it, make a change so you can afford it if you have to watch it. Also how do you know they wont add an extra fight to each PPV, excactly you don't so stop your bitching.

Excactly, if you love the UFC that much then giving them a few extra dollars a month should not concern you at all, except we have a bunch of whiners on here going on about how they can't afford it etc. when there's many very simple solutions.

Just for the record, i have'nt bought a UFC PPV since UFC 3 but for me its never been an issue of cost. Its that i can find out the results on the internet and then buy the DVD with the bonus features instead for $10.00. Of course i don't have cable either and i keep the heat in my house at 60 degrees all winter. But yes, many people will complain about the cost of something like a UFC PPV but have no trouble paying $3.00 everyday for a coffee or eating out everyday for lunch.

well according to your theory, Dana is looking out for the best interests of UFC employees...since everything is going up then they are feelin it too

so let them get paid more
