I watched Lutter mount Silva and sweep Lindland.

To rule him out would be silly, but I think Rich matches up quite favorably with him.At the same time both Okami and J-Mac took Franklin down.It may be a tougher fight than many think.

you can never count out a guy who has skills like lutter...
Ken has great ground game too and Rich pounded him out I know Ken wasn't in his prime but he is still one of the best with leg cranks and rich avoided his I give it to Rich...

Who would of thought I would pick Rich to win

I think Rich is going to be so motivated for this fight. I am pretty sure he will train with Silva one of these days.

Lutter got closer to beating A Silva than anyone in the UFC so far, Hendo included. I want Lutter to win to get to a rematch at some point.

This fight will go a ways toward showing us what Rich has left after two devastating losses to Silva. Beatings like Rich suffered can take a long tern toll on a fighter. I have nothing against either guy. I kinda want Ace to win though.

Smartest thing Rich could do would be bail on the UFC and get big bucks to fight somewhere Anderson Silva doesn't.

Yep, Franklin by beatdown. I wanna see him Hendo fight. I'd love to see him and Wandy fight if Wandy does indeed drop to MW. Franklin is one helluva fighter, Silva is just the absolute worst matchup for him possible.

What's next for Franklin after he beats Lutter?

Will he take difficult fights with top contenders ( Hendo or W. Silva if he drops ) or will he take an easier route to stack up a few more wins before he turns completely to Hollywood?

I actually hope that Lutter wins, there is actually a Semi-interesting rematch with Silva if that happens. If Franklin wins i dont see him wanting a rematch with Silva in a close future.

No I hope Lutter wins this in super impressive fashion with a flying Gogoplata or something

I think Rich can beat Silva if he uses the right game plan if he would go and train with Randy and let Randy help him with the game plan Randy is the best at picking people apart with sticking to the plans going in that is the reason Randy has done what he has in mma

Franklin mentioned after his second fight with Silva that he could see the light at the end of the tunnel ( ending his fighting career ) and since he was just shooting a movie I figured it was a no brainer that he had his eye on more movies. It would seem he would want to leave on a winning streak than looking like a has been.

I am not bashing Franklin. I know he is smart and would be trying to make the best choices for his post fighting career.

The future will definitely answer my questions. I am hoping he does face Henderson and W. Silva.

Isnt this the fight that was promised to the winner of Ultimate Fighter 4. Even so i have been waiting since that show ended to see this fight take place plus i have never forgiven Lutter for taking it easy & coming up against silva overweight......Franklin by submission via 1st round.......Good luck Lutter,i think u will need it.
