Nate Quarry will be MW Champ by the end of this year!!!
Yes, It's true and you heard it here first. Nate "The Rock" Quarry, will be the MW champion by the end of 08' or early in 09'. Nate has a ton of talent and ton of heart, he can strike, grapple, has crazy subs, an iron jaw, a no-quit attitude and crazy cardio. He has 2 huge wins over a very tough and underratted Pete Sell. He has also disposed of Shonie Carter, who is tough as nails and Louden Sincaid, who is one tough hombre. In his very first fight he KO'd the heavy handed Drew McFeddries. That is a resume that reads as a who's who of MMA stars. I know alot of people are going to bring up that he was KO'd by Franklin, but that is nothing to be ashamed of because "Ace" is a top 10 p4p fighter and I feel that now that Nate is 100% healthy and has grown as a fighter, he would now be able to take Franklin down.
My guess is that Nate will probably fight 3 times this year, with his 4th fight coming in early 09' for the MW belt. If Silva is still champ at the time this will be a great matchup stylisticly for Quarry who should be able to take the fight to the ground and work a sub avoiding Silva's standup. But, I don't think Silva will be champ. I predict that he will lose to Hendo who will defend his belt maybe 1 time before losing to either Patrick Cote or Chris Leban(2 fighters who are red hot and have a real shot at fighting for a title as well).
Regardless, you heard it here first from the King of NHB, Nate Quarry will be champ within the next 18 months of me writing this. It doesn't matter if it's Hendo, Silva, Leban, Grove, Cote, Kampman or Mcfeddries. Nate outclasses them all!!!!!!

Just like Matt Hughes wouldn't lose to GSP a second time?

And what does GSP/Hughes have to do with Nate Quarry? I have made no excuses for Hughes' loss, he lost fair and square and GSP is the better fighter. Hughes' said it himself.
Are you trying to say that you have never picked a fight wrong before? If that's the case I find it very hard to believe.

If Nate Quarry couldn't trade with Franklin, there's no way he could trade with Silva.

Quarry was battling a major back problem at the time which he has fixed, he has also changed camps and has been training harder than ever. Quarry is a different fighter now than he was then, that is evident by how he handled Pete Sell who is far from an easy victory.

Hendo will beat Silva, but then lose to Leben or Cote? Whose clone account is this? Somebody is pulling our leg.

Pete Sell is 1/5 in his last five fights.

Not only that, he didn't even do that well trading with Pete Sell for most of that fight. And let's face it, Pete Sell is a borderline can.

Yes that is correct, no leg pulling going on, I'm talking about upper echelon fighters here, Leban and Cote are some of the best 185 lbers in the world bar none.

Yes, because we all know that if the UFC excels in any division, it's the MW division.

You are obviously a new fan so I'll fill you in on a bit of history. Pete Sell is the guy who choked out Phil Baroni a few years ago. In case you don't know who Baroni is, just do a search on youtube and you will see how nasty the NYBA is. If Sell can trade with Baroni and Quarry KO'd Sell, I would definetly say that "The Rock" has some serious standup credentials.

FTC, is a well respected member of the forum and a long time fan of MMA.
You know that he knows who Phil Baroni is.
Quit playing your games.

The Rock couldn't beat Okami, Franklin, Marquardt and even Leben imo. I had a good chuckle reading through this thread, most def.

Pitbull, you of all people should know that Tony Starks doesn't play games, I am a serious guy and this is a serious conversation.
I said that in response to him saying that Sell is a "borderline can", I was simply reminding him that Sell did beat an elite fighter in Phil Baroni. I understand that FTC is familier with Baroni, but it seems that alot of MMA fans seem to forget anything that happened over a year ago.

This thread was intended to incite and polarize.
The thread was never started to have a good, healthy debate.
You've had your fun for tonight, Tony.
