Default Chuck Liddell vs Keith Jardine 2?

Chuck Liddell vs. Keith Jardine II up next? at UFC blog for UFC news, results, videos, rumors, fights, pics and tickets — MMAmania.com

Quote:
“My next fight will probably be in the summer and I am thinking about Jardine since Jackson is already scheduled to fight (Forrest Griffin). I can’t wait around (for Jackson). I love the sport and I think I have a couple years left in me. I’m a very competitive person. I don’t even like to lose at things I’m not good at.”

Chuck Liddell reiterates that he wants to rematch Keith Jardine next — “The Dean of Mean” upset the “Iceman” at UFC 76: “Knockout” in September 2007. Liddell rebounded to defeat Wanderlei Silva in a thrilling three-round war at UFC 79: “Nemesis” in December 2007. Meanwhile, we haven’t heard much at all about Jardine (even though it was perhaps the biggest win of his career). Something tells me that whatever Chuck “thinks,” Chuck gets.
I hope this happens. Some revenge for the Iceman, but I don't think Jardine will except. There is no reason for him to take the chance of losing.

So Jutaro and Hayato would both beat Aoki again?

doubt it, imo the judges gave that fight to Sakurai because he was the star, and Aoki was kind of the unknown. Everybody knows Aoki should have gotten the nod.

Only thing is, if Jardine doesn't want to take the fight Dana/UFC will give him hell about it and afterwards.

This fight would be so stupid.

Basically the UFC is saying "Ya Jardine... you really screwed up, you see, you weren't supposed to beat Chuck so we're gonna set up another fight between you two and hope Chuck gets a lucky punch since he is our big star."

Jardine should be moving on to better things or at least new fights.

I'd like to see that. I think Chuck will do fine this time around.

I agree. But I'm thinking Chuck drops him in the 1st. He'll want to show everyone that the first fight was a big fluke and light Jardine up early and often. Jardine isn't half the fighter Chuck is and no way he beats Chuck again.

Chuck by brutal TKO (a la Tito Ortiz) in the 1st round.

because quite frankly no one cares about jardine... no one knows who he is... thats harsh, but while hes a real tough guy and good fighter, chuck is the star, and what he wants he gets... he wants to avenge that, with the winner going to the title shot... and im sure the ufc will cater to that... and i dont blame them...

it sucks but thats how it is, especially in this sport

Talk about a case of Chuck being the "golden boy". Jardine is kind of screwed regardless. If he takes this fight and wins, it proves nothing, if he loses he loses and he is back at square 1 losing 2 of 3. Jardine should be fighting Wand next, with Chuck facing Shogun, since everyone else is tied up until June.

Hell id like to see Liddell/Gouveia, Shogun/Jardine, Wand/Lambert before Jardine/Chuck 2
