What if Lesnar...
Just what if he doesnt end up making weight?
What would Dana do, what would he do?
I for one am pulling for Lesnar but if that were to happen which is a possibilty i would laugh really hard and basically say good bye to my respect for him.

I kind of agree w/ you here; either Brock will maul Mir and finish him quickly or Mir will weather the storm and submit him. After seeing the promo I kinda hope Mir breaks his arm just for his "so what response" about Mir breaking Big Tim's arm.....

Krav, dude...
You've been to like 40 UFCs and you didn't know about the heavyweight limit?

I actually think this fight just might become a good old fashioned boring slow-paced heavyweight fight.
If Mir wants to win, I think he needs to get the submission quick. His cardio is horrible.
I think he might survive Lesnar's first offense but won't get the sub, then they both will be tired and end up punching each other in slow-mo a la Mir-Sims and Gonzaga-Jordan. Only without the KO. I'm a pessimist.
I'm with you on hoping Lesnar loses.
Earlier I didn't really care (was never a fan of Mir's either), but Lesnar... something's not right with that guy. What with that big veiny "sword" tattooed between his moobs, the way he's gonna "rip Frank Murr's head off" etc.

Gooner busted me.
I have to admit i havent paid attention to The UFC HW division since......
Harold Howard. For some reason, I just dont pay attention to the HW's unless a big fight pops out at me. I pay attention when Mir breaks Sylvia's arm. I pay attention when Cro Cop enters The UFC as a HW. I pay attention when AA has a big fight.
I dont really pay attention to the division and its dimensions.
Lol. The last UFC where I went when there was a big HW fight was Gan MGee vs Tim Sylvia in the undercard to Tito/Couture. I think it was that fight.

What happens if he spontaneously combusts or get struck by lightening or run over by a bus or a million other unlikely scenarios?
Brock Lesnar is a professional and I am sure he will make weight.

It's only a truly big deal to Dana (and everyone else) if he failed to make weight for a title fight, thereby making it a non-title fight. For a regular fight like this, the opponent generally accepts the violation because then they receive something like 10-30% of the offending fighter's purse.

This is true and a very valid point. And i forgot about that lol.
But it seems like I am the only one on this forum who hopes Lesnar wins. Yeah I used to watch WWE then i found somethin better...MMA. And im not gonna hate a fighter for the sole fact that he came from the WWE and that he talks alot before he fights. That doesnt bother me and like he said, the UFC HW division iss hurtingggggg so we need a charismatic physco like Lesnar who wants to rip guys heads off.
On the weight issue again, i think he will make weight i jus wanted to hear ya'll opinions. But if he doesnt, then i will not take him serious and take him off my want to win fighters list.

I'm with ya. I hope Lesnar wins in exciting fashion. The HW division is hurting and after AA departs it will be hurting even more. Lesnar needs to win decisively and he needs to do it without LNP.

Unfortunatley, I think that if Lesnar does win, it's going to be by the use of LNP tactics. I could easily see him using his huge strength advantage and wrestling skills to take his opponents down and hold them there. Kind of like the Sean Sherk of the HW division. Hopefully, if he tries that with Mir he'll end up getting submitted but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'm with you on this one. Frank needs to take special notice to his interview and make his knuckles touch his elbow.

I think that we just need to wait until Lesnar fight.
The dude have a very good wrestling background. And he's huge and stronger. I'm not a fan of WWE since at least 5 years now. But I thing Lesnar have chance to win this one.

He'll make weight. Unlike Travis Lutter, he is a big investment and, apparently, much more serious about his work ethic.
I bet you he'll actually look much smaller than usual, considering that in pro-wrestling steroids are widely used.

I dont think you can help it.
But what has he shown you in work ethics? I'm alittle intrested now that you made a comparison to another mma fighter.
Since your so well informed, how long does it take for steroids to stop working?

I think Lesnar is going to show the world that he is the strongest MMA fighter EVER! Now, please hear me out, I know that you have to be more than strong in MMA, but I just think Lesnar's power is going to be too much for most of these heavyweights to handle, Mir included. Mir is just going to get tossed around like a rag doll, IMO. I see Lesnar winning by the most brutal GnP we have ever seen. We just might see the first time in MMA history, that a fighters head get pushed straight thru the octagon canvas after Lesnar starts dropping elbows.
Just my opinion, I'm usually wrong anyway. Now that I've said that Lesnar will probably lose.

Apparently some rules have been made for this bout? Accordin to UFC.com they have changed it to a Hell in the cell format? First one out of the cage wins.
LOL sorry this whole topic had something like this coming.

Honestly, I'm hoping Lesnar wins in dominant fashion. It can be nothing but good for the UFC and Mir winning would actually be bad, really bad. We know what Mir is capable of, and he's just not championship material. His striking is at best poor, and his conditioning is even worse. Aside from his grappling ability, he has none of the qualities Dana and company are looking for in a champ. Lesnar on the the other hand, is notorious within the wrestling community for his unbelievable combination of strength, speed and conditioning. Not to mention his larger than life persona, he's a perfect fit. As long as Lesnar avoids the early sub, this is Brock's fight.
