I love BJ's attitude. IMO opinion he is basically always on point with what he says.
I am so so so happy that he is serious about cardio now. That was his only weakness. If he is able to hang with Sherk deep into the fight, finish him or win a decision he has to be top P4P.

I agree with you that he is serious about his cardio. However, I don't think it has been proven that he can go deep into a fifth round. I say if it goes past 3 rounds Sherk will win. If not, the BJ will finish it early. I am just not convinced that BJ will ever have "5 round" cardio until it's proven in the cage.

I am hoping that he shows it in his next fight.

He won't, he'll tap or TKO Sherk before it gets out of round 3.

Dosent everyone whos cardio been doubted say prior to every fight that they are in the best shape of their life and that they train cardio harder then ever... sound like the same old song once again.
But i actually think that BJ:s cardio is way better then it used to but is nowhere near the cardio of Sherk. Sherk will put on a serious pace, see if BJ can keep up for 5 rounds.

Unfortunately for Sherk, BJ will be the one pushing the pace from the get-go.
Let's see how good Sherk's cardio is when he's the one getting bullied.
Getting punched in the face repeatedly is not good for you cardio-wise.
He better hope he doesn't end up on his back either.

I will be backing BJ in this one, how can you not? His fights are so much more exciting than someone like Sherk. I don't know if it's because I'm from the UK and we don't have much wrestling over here, but I hate seeing all these one dimensional wrestlers in The Octagon. The rules are too biased towards them, no knees to the head of a downed opponent seems to reward the LNP merchants. No real punishment for continual failed takedown attempts.
BJ on the other hand is a true MMA fighter who also isn't a steroid cheat!
WAR PENN!!!!!!!!!!!

“To me in this sport, it’s fighting, it’s mixed martial arts, and I feel there’s too many athletes and not enough fighters,” commented Penn. “I think these people going in taking these sports enhancement drugs, they’re not real fighters, they’re athletes. I’m a fighter. I’m a real fighter. That’s all I did my whole life.

Exactly why Penn is my #1 favorite fighter.

Agreed. That's why they need to continue to work on making knees to a downed opponent legal. I'm so sick of hearing Mazagatti warn about strikes to the back of the head when a guy turtles up. To me, tucking your chin to your chest while you're on your knees with both hands on the mat is not intelligently defending yourself. If guys continue to do that I think the fight should be stopped. Something has to be done about guys turtling up all the time.

Sherk did the time. If Kerr had never admitted it and done the right thing, people wouldn't be making these comments because they'd had no definite ammo or **** to sling at him. People don't make them about the others in the business who are on or highly suspected about juicing. Also, funny to me is that nobody seems to pop these shots on Tim Sylvia...or has everyone forgot that he was stripped of his title, the first time he held it, for using roids? Y'all need to grow up and give people credit for doing the right thing or at least the benefit of the doubt that they are going/have changed. Like I said, everyone's done wrong in their lives so don't y'all sit here and pat yourselves on the back because their names are in the limelight and your's are not.

Nah. Sherk deserves what he's getting from everybody. The problem with doing something wrong is that there are ALWAYS consequences. There has to be. Or else why would anyone refrain from doing them? It doesn't matter if Sherk came clean. The ridicule and finger pointing he's getting is part of the consequence for cheating. It is part of the punishment.
As far as being in the limelight, they (the ufc fighter, actors, athletes, politicians...) chose to be in it. It would be naive of them to think the hammer won't come down hard on them when they do something wrong. That is the price they pay for being in the limelight. The celebrities get fame and fortune when things go right...or they get the hammer when things go wrong. That is the way it is.
Now back to Sherk:
I hope BJ Penn kicks his cheating azz.

Man...... He wasn't busted for TRACES!! He was 120 times above the "normal" amount (for Olympic Athletes, no less)! You don't get that kind of reading from TRACE amounts of steroids, no matter how many supplements you are taking. Sheesh!
And how can we know Sherk was juicing? Let's see. Theres an old saying.... "If it looks like a duck, waddles like a duck, and quacks like a duck - it's a duck". And in Sherk's case they took some of the poop and had it scientifically analyzed and it was DUCK poop - thereby removing all reasonable doubt.
Sherk looked like a juicer, trained like a juicer, had cardio like a juicer, and busted out on a drug screen for 'Roids. And not for TRACE amounts.

FOS dropping the HAMMER! All the L'nP in the world isn't gonna hold an in shape, focused BJ Penn down to a decision. I wanna see a spectacular, highlight reel submission, preferably a choke on the the neckless...well, maybe the lack of "supplements" has freed up some neck space . War Penn!!

Well, whatever. My whole point is that people do the right thing and others do the wrong thing for riding them about. Live and let live. Everyone, limelight or not, has fooked up at some point or another. If Sherk continues to fook up then he deserves, but not when he's making the effort to come clean.
I'm going to be pulling for Sherk, as I've never been a huge Penn fan.
