Yes, UFC has the most top talent. Easily.
UFC has "all the best fighters"? Don't be ridiculous.

The UFC probably does not all all of the best fighters in the world in every weight division specifically HW but a good argument could be made for all of the other divisions. LHW-Rampage, he is right there as far as p4p, MW-Anderson Silva, if he beats Hendo I believe he is the best MW in the world, WW-GSP, if Serra could be his cryptanite(we'll see) but beat him and he should be considered the best (already is by most). LW-BJ Penn, I know they have him at 6 on the p4p list but he beat the guy at #1 and how many legitimate LWs have beaton him?

Yeah, but how are the "regular dudes" cardio? Ground game? Wrestling? BJJ? UFC is more than punching, but I'm sure you knew that.
Dana is who he is. Love him or hate him or watch/listen to something else.

I think Dana is angry because there is potential in Kimbo, both in terms of PPV draw and MMA future and the UFC missed the boat. I admit that i did'nt have alot of faith in Kimbo at first, but then he started working with Bas Rutten and he also has some other serious contacts within the Combat Sports world that i was unaware of. Kimbo has been smart to choose high profile opponents that draw attention but pose little threat. People are interested in him even if he's not the most skilled. On the bright side Dana did sign Sean Gannon? Obviously the better choice.

Yup, that's why we're hearing Dana saying things like Kimbo would get hurt real bad if he were in the UFC.

I think Kimbo's got potential, but honestly he's not fought anybody who can give us an accurate picture of how good he is. We know he can bang, so an out of shape banger, Tank Abbott, is tailor made for him. I want to see what happens when he fights a fighter who strikes with his hands and feet and knows how to get it done on the ground. Honestly, until this happens, I'm going to assume Dana is right. He probably would get schooled against a good, well-rounded HW.

Kimbo's greatest asset is his marketibilty. People love the guy. We're already seeing the formation of the Kimbo bandwagon when, as you mentioned, he has'nt fought anyone. And you know what? People don't seem to care!!! I also think it will be awhile before he does fight anyone who can really give him a challenge. EliteXC knows a good thing when they see it and are going to milk it for all its worth. So basically there is no reason to test him, just keep him active against opponents people might know and keep him winning. Eventually he may or may not prove to be a great MMA fighter but in the meantime he sells PPV and draws attention to EliteXC. I'd like to see him fight Chieck Kongo. Brutal kickboxing vs. the Internet Brawler. No threat of a ground war here unless Kimbo does'nt have faith in his hands.

If right now Kimbo were to fight Cheick Kongo, I honestly don't think that Kimbo would stand much of a chance at winning that fight.

If you look at the last "big name" fighter that the two organizations signed, only one came from a fighting background that was actually real

The greatest and most proactive move was for Dana to bring in the one guy who sort of beat Kimbo in a street fight, and then dispell his false greatness. Gannon was demolished, therefore Kimbo can't be that great at least in Dana's world. One fact is, Kimbo is or will be the face of MMA. It's like Kimbo vs. Lesnar for the marketing kings. There is no doubt Kimbo is the man. This guy is crazy. Perhaps the experts here can tell me who would have a more devastating strike than Kimbo. I personally 110% would rather have Kimbo than Lesnar. Dana let this one get away that's for sure.

The article hit the nail on the head when it said the only thing safe from ridicule is the Brand itself. look at how the UFC is throwing Tito under the bus. and im not a fan of Tito at all. but what it does is it makes other companies over compensate for the disrespect of the UFC fighters and you see extreme coddling. the other promoters seem to protect there investments because there catching the overflow and they dont want to lose them to the other scavengers. Fedor not fighting Barnett comeon whats that about there both on the same card put the damn fight together. or the addition of all those weight classes in XC seems like a plan to keep the star power from having to actually fight each other.
sorry kind of long winded. my problem is the trickle effect its getting out of hand.

Kimbo is a tough street fighter( thats all). His talents would go well at Florida State Prison.
That was real easy to say sitting here.
