Default McCully vs Lesner @ 75

Justin McCully said on Inside MMA tonight that he will be taking on Brock Lesner in June.

Seems like a prefect fight for Lesner here, McCully is pretty bland and I think Lesner simply over powers him here for a GnP.

Ya I think Brock should completely dominate Mccully in this fight.

He fought and won over Antoni Hardonk at UFN 9.
He's 6'2", 235 and looks like a famous country singer but I can't think of his name.

He's gonna get more than that.

Since he's obviously taking home the win bonus too.
Definitely a gimme for Lesnar.

Doesn't McCully train out of Team Punishment? I don't know why I think that.

Yeah should be an easy win for Lesnar, if he loses he'll have a pretty ugly record at 1-2.

Sounds like the UFC want Lesnar to take any means possible when it comes to keeping onto his contract & not end up in a wasteland where he has lost all his fights in quick succession.
Never heard of the guy he is fighting but shouldnt this fight be on a UFC Fightnight instead of a pay-per-view?

Yeah, he does.
He's cornered Tito and the other way around.

He beat Hardonk in his UFC debut via LnP, but he would have been in trouble with a guy who had a ground game.
Seems to me like McCully doesn't really have great
-cardio
-submissions or
-striking.
Therefore, he's really a dream match-up for Lesnar, 'cause he's not gonna outwrestle him like he did with Hardonk.

I see no shame for someone who is new to MMA. He's in good company with Crocop if that happens..

Yeah....McCully appears to be well suited for Lesnar. He's a gamer, who probably won't be afraid to mix it up...but also shouldn't pose much of a threat either. Not trying to make light of the dude...I mean he did beat Hardonk in his UFC debut....but he also lost to Evan Tanner early on.
Should be a near perfect scenario for Lesnar.

I think that the Mir match up, as anything, was as much about seeing how much Mir was still going to be worth to the UFC these days. I mean Lesnar's risk was pretty low in that matchup....If he wins, he beat a former HW Champ...If he loses, he lost to a former HW Champ. No real shame in that, so throw him in the deep end and see what happens.

IF Lesnar wins convincingly against McCully...I wouldn't be at all surprised to see perhaps Kongo next in line after that. Then Dana would be able to justify (in his mind) launching him at whom ever has the title shortly there after. I mean, if he were to beat McCully and then a Kongo...surely he's THE top contender, right?

I don't know if he would have been in any more trouble had Hardonk had a ground game because he is a BJJ black belt, so he can't be too bad on the ground.

But yeah this is probably gonna be a win for Lesnar, but I don't even know why the UFC would risk having him in there with a good BJJ guy. I would say to put him in there with a striker like Eddie Sanchez.

I'm happy with this match up. Lesnar has only had 2 mma fights in his career and has gone 1-1. Mcully is the perfect match up for him to get on the right track and give him some time to progress. Hardonk was suppose to roll through Mcully, but that didn't happen.
