Anderson Silva's defeats in his career have come in unusual circumstances, and he is a much better fighter now than years back.

He's putting a first KO in Hendo's losing column.

ADD: People really believe that Hendo will take the fight to the clinch and then the ground but, if you look at Hendo's fights, he likes to stand and exchange more than anything. He is a stubborn guy and, even though people probably have told him not to, he will try to stand with Anderson. Then he'll get KO'ed.
Spot on. This it what common sense says to me. Silva KO's Dan 1st or 2nd rd.

I still hope Dan wins, but I will say this; The speed that Silva develops with his punches is phenomenal! I was watching FightQuest and on one of the episodes the Sensei was speaking of "Think of cracking a whip when you punch or kick", and this is what Silva does. It is like a whip, or like throwing rocks from and old style slingshot - there is so much SNAP! to his strikes! He develops amazing terminal handspeed. I would love to be able to strike like that.

ok out of all silvas opponents i think dan has the best chance to dethorn the champ.never seen silva go five rounds, and never seen him face anyone with the toughness like dan.cant wait to see dan slam silva on his head and gnp him to a unamious decision.this should get fight of the night cause i been wanting this fight for a while.

Just sitting at the weigh in listening to jerkoffs call Silva a "dumb N" because he cant speak english just makes me want to root for him harder, if thats possible.

I dont mind Hendo, but im hoping for a Silva 4R KO in a WAR

i find it interesting how much people bring up that dan has a good chin. i dont think its gonna be that much of a factor if silva dominates the stand up. no matter how good your chin is, if anderson starts kneeing you in the face youre going down

And he hung in there with Rampage. I mean he went 5 rounds straight up with Page. A guy who's physically a HW. Did Hendo come up short? Damn right, but he hung in there and made Page look like a BJJ expert.

In other words, Hendo didnt go out like no punk.

Hendo is fighting a far smaller geniune MW in this fight. I like Anderson Silva, and MAYBE he lands some nasty combos on Hendo. BUt.....

Hendo has taken the best from Wanderlei, Rampage and a ton of others we have no time here to mention.

I think Hendo takes this.
Shouldn't Silva be a geniune LHW if Hendo is? They both cut to 185 and both weigh right at or around 205.

I really couldn't pick a winner for this fight, although all the discussion/predictions are interesting. All I know is I can't wait for this.

Maybe Marquardt getting back in the mix? Wouldn't mind seeing him against Franklin actually. Out of fighters more on the rise, I'd like to see Kampman return and gain a couple more victories and I like Cote aswell.

what,in your opinions, does Michael Bisping have to do to be considered a contender at 185lbs?

Wouldnt be suprised if Bisping gets one if he rolls McCarthy. If its a WAR tonight I wouldnt be shocked if there is a rematch. If not, Okami/Tanner should get the winner

Obviously I'd really like him to get in the mix and receive a title shot, but he'll need 3 wins I think before he is considered a contender.
