How does fighting Nogueira do nothing for Randy? Nog is easily the #2 HW in the world behind Fedor. Beating Nog would move Randy up in the rankings and prove to me that he actually deserves a shot at Fedor. I don't understand where Randy is coming from. He has had 2 wins at HW in the last several years and now he thinks he deserves a shot at Fedor? It is disrespectful imo to brush off Nog when he is clearly the superior fighter.

I've been saying this all along as well. The UFC has provided Randy with tailor made opponents during his last two fights. And the UFC marketing machine has done an amazing job at promoting Randy. But if one takes away the promotion effect AND really really really "objectively" analyze Randy's fights, one would come to the conclusion that Big Nog will have no problem beating him.
I hope to god they fight, because I'll get good odds on Nog.
