It's Time To Vote! FIGHT FORUM'S Official UFC Rankings - March/April
Your Vote Counts! It’s time for Fight Forum members to gather and rank the TOP 10 UFC fighters for each weight class.
Here are the rules for those of you who are unfamiliar:
1. Around the last week of every month, I’ll post a new thread for all Fight Forum members (mods are welcome as well) to rank their Top 10 UFC Fighters for each division.
2. Member rankings will end on Monday, March 10th at 8:00 PM PST. I’ll then calculate all of the votes from each participating member to determine that month’s “Fight Forum Member’s Official UFC Rankings” and post a new thread with the official results of the Top 10 fighters in each weight class.
3. If you’re wondering how the calculations will be made, I’ll assign points for the ranking you give them. I.E. 10 points for 1st, 9 pts for 2nd, on down to 1 pt for 10th. The fighter with the most collective points in a particular weight class will be ranked 1st overall and so on.
4. Since you’re posting your Top 10 list for all to see, please maintain your integrity and vote with as little bias as possible.
5. The UFC rankings are intended to be for the upcoming month, not all-time. For rankings to be included in the overall results, all fighters must either have fought in the UFC within the last 12 months, have a current UFC fight scheduled or be signed to a new UFC contract, thereby qualifying their intentions to fight in the UFC in the near future.
6. For rankings to count, you must rank all ten fighters for each weight class. If you only rank six fighters at MW, for example, your rankings will not be included in the final tally.
7. You may edit your rankings after you first make them. If you edit, however, you must PM me to let me know that you’ve done so. I usually tally the rankings on a daily basis, so if you edit them later and don’t notify me, I will not know and your previous rankings will remain.
Since March's event already took place this month, these rankings will be for both March and April. The next voting thread won't be until after UFC 83.
NOTE: Randy Couture is still ineligible for voting since his future with the UFC is in doubt.

^^^ BTW... I should also note that I've included AA in the above rankings since he technically hasn't left the UFC yet. This could change over the next couple of months.
As always, I’ve included a list of UFC fighters for those who don’t want to overlook fighters. This isn’t intended to be a 100% comprehensive list, it’s merely a guideline of some of the more notable or recent UFC fighters. I’ve also included their overall records, their UFC records and their current overall win/loss streak, based upon sherdog fight data.

Rumpkin: I honestly forgot about Tyson Griffin for a milisec, excuse me. As for Lesnar, yes I do think he could beat the unranked Heavyweights in the UFC in my book. As for your rankings......Werdum at 2nd? Are you kidding me? Rankings are opinions, don't try and nitpick others just let it be.

Sorry man more of a question then anything. Understood, but never forget Tyson Griffin!
The UFC HW division isnt as bad as people make it out to be IMO. Nog is one of the best fighters who has ever gotten in a cage or ring, but 2-8 is a toss up. Hell, you could put Sylvia #2. I just think Werdum knocking off Napao, who was on the fast track to being a world wide top 5 HW was a HUGE win.
Any reason you guys are still ranking Tito over Gouviea and Thiago thou?

I still honestly believe he is a Top 10 LHW in the UFC, just like I believe Wanderlei is. Even though Wanderlei has lost his last 3 fights he is still in most people's Top 10, why not Tito?
No hard feelings...even though you're a Gator fan.

Thiago has done nothing so far in the UFC except beat someone with zero ground game, and look completely sloppy beating a no name. Gouviea seems to have poor cardio and someone with say a 1/2 decent chin and a good wrestling game should have no problem holding him down and grinding out a decision (insert Tito).
As for your previous question about Tavares, he looked like crap last time out. Real bad. Led me to believe that Fischer could keep the fight standing and point out a decision on the feet. I hope he'd prove me wrong, because unlike Silva and Gouviea, Tavares has actually shown signs of brilliance in the Octagon.
Those are my reasons though, you have to beat someone to get on the list. When Silva beats someone, I'll think about moving him up. As for Gouviea, sure he beat Lambert, but he was losing that fight until he caught him so I still need to see more from him. Had he been in shape, he might have won a decision over Jardine too, but to be a top ranked fighter, you have to come in shape every time out. He doesn't.

I actually like that others question the rankings. I like the know the reason why someone would put Diego above Kos and both of them above Hughes.

Diego and Kos are 1-1 against one another, so that's not that farfetched. Over Hughes, however?... perhaps Hughes just lost the use of his legs in a bizarre gardening accident that we didn't hear about.
I'm with you, I enjoy when people call each other out on the rankings. I have no problem providing my own rationale. This month, the HW fustercluck is particularly interesting. I believe that Brock Lesnar can easily be argued as a Top 10 HW, when Eddie Sanchez is the alternative.

After last event was really looking foward to the rankings.....
Heavyweight
1.) Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira : New champ & very deserving of top spot
2.) Tim Sylvia : tough loss against Nog but still top 2
3.) Andrei Arlovski : Dominating win puts him back on map
4.) Fabricio Werdum : Nice win over Napo moves him
5.) Brandon Vera : Will continue to fall if I dont see him fight soon
6.) Heath Herring : Showed nice versatility in win over Kongo moves him up
7.) Frank Mir : Nice win over inexperienced Lesnar, stays top 10 if really back
8.) Cheick Kongo : Moved down for loss to Herring
9.) Jake O’Brien : On way out of top 10 after loss
10.) Gabriel Gonzaga : Stays in top 10 b/c I cant think of anyone else
Lt Heavyweight
1.) Quinton Jackson : He is the champ
2.) Lyoto Machida : Deserves title shot w/o Tito fight
3.) Kieth Jardine : Beat Wandy will put him in great spot
4.) Forrest Griffin : He has earned a top 5 spot, title shot should tell alot
5.) Chuck Liddell : possible Evans fight may give him title shot w/ win

5.) Nathan Marquardt : Well rounded fighter nice win over Horn
6.) Chris Leben : Another nice win, give him Cote or Bisping please

10.) Travis Lutter : Beat Franklin and move up fast
Welterweight
1.) GSP : the best out if 2 w/ a title; best WW in the world IMHO
