I'm bummed too, but given the circumstances it's probably about the best they could do.

Seems a bit harsh - Chuck had only lost 2 (against Rampage and a split decision against Jardine) and then bounced back with a very impressive display against Silva!!
I do think Chuck should get a shot at the title but in all fairness its Jardine I feel for - massive win against Chuck and then......... nothing!?!?!

I think if Chuck had beaten Shogun, he would of deserved a shot hands down. However, if Jardine beats Silva and Chuck beats Rashad, Jardine will deserve a shot more. I think thats how bad the match up is for Chuck, yeah it will be easier but people will also see that as a more undeserving push if he beats him compared to Jardine who has just beaten Liddell and could beat Silva.
Basically I think this fight should have lost Chuck his title shot for anytime soon, as Forrest has the next one, and Jardine should have the one after if he beats Wanderlei.

I am going and im really gutted it is not the War which would have been promised with Chuck V Rua. Still it could be a better fight than expected Evans has got a notched up record but I expect Chuck to KO Evans.

I'm still really confused as to why people think Thiago Silva is the next big thing. He looked extremely lethargic and out of shape against Tomasz Drwal and proved nothing by putting "fish out of water" Houston Alexander on his back and pounding him out. Everything I've seen from him so far leads me to believe Rashad would have had no problem taking him down and grinding out a decision against him.
That being said, the UFC did the right thing by putting Rashad in there, at least he's got a name. Chuck via TKO rd. 2.

I agree 1000000%. Chuck is going to pummel Evans. Chuck must have smiling from ear to ear when he heard the news. And I'll be smiling while I watch it. Chuck will end this one quickly, TKO round 1...

I see many of us didn't learn from Serra vs GSP, nor Griffen vs Rua..
It's MMA, and in MMA __________ can happen.

I stated almost two years ago that Rashad would beat Chuck when given the chance.
Now with Chuck in the dwindling twilight of his career I'm even more confident in my pick.
I will resurrect my two year old thread if Rashad wins, for maximum gratification.

I want to agree, but everyone thought the same thing when Chuck fought Jardine so I am not so sure.....

SS, I am not a betting man.
Chuck might win, but a win by Rashad would not surprise me. He trains in the same camp and with the same people Jardine does, the same folks who laid out and executed a plan that helped Keith beat Chuck. Rashad is very strong, takes a hell of a punch, and is so unorthodox he makes it hard to hit him cleanly. I think this is a much tougher fight for Liddell than a lot of folks believe.

Rashad was getting picked apart by MICHAEL BISPING, what makes anyone think he has a chance in hell of standing with Chuck.
Like I said earlier Chucks cardio is also better then Rashads, Chuck by R1 KO or UD.
