Official: Rashad vs Chuck at UFC 85
Quote:
Rashad Evans (Pictures) is expected to fight Chuck Liddell (Pictures) June 7 in London, England, Sherdog.com confirmed Wednesday.
The light heavyweight bout came together just one day after the UFC announced Mauricio Rua (Pictures) pulled out of the fight against Liddell (21-5) because of a ruptured ACL in his left knee.
Following losses to Quinton Jackson (Pictures) and Keith Jardine (Pictures), Liddell, 38, righted his ship with a decision win over Wanderlei Silva (Pictures) in late December.
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old Evans' last appearance in the Octagon saw him draw Tito Ortiz (Pictures) after three rounds. Evans is unbeaten in the UFC and sports an overall record of 11-0-1.
Evans had been rumored to fight Brazilian Thiago Silva May 24 in Las Vegas as part of the UFC 84 card.

I think Chuck is goign to win. What pisses me off is that he's probly gonan get a title shot after, wich i doubt is fair.

YYYYEEESSSS. This fight will be EASY for Chuck. Rashad can not stand with him. Especially if he can't even stand with Bisping. Rashad shouldn't be able to take Chuck down that is for sure. Who is the last person to take Chuck down and hold him there? Randy in there first fight.

Bummer. I'd rather see Thiago expose Rashad than Chuck. I wish the UFC would just push Chuck back a month or two. He'd have many more fight options at that point. With a Rashad/Chuck fight, Chuck would be expected to win, but it could be a boring LNP victory for Rashad. I think that Thiago would be a better and more intriguing matchup.

Better yet i'd rather see Thiago Silva fight him instead.

I think the UFC took Rashad out of one fight he was supposed to lose, and into another. They want to nurture T. Silva as he could become a big star imo

Rashad can say bye bye to his "perfect" record, which he shouldn't have at this point anyway. This fight will be a huge wakeup call for Rashad. His dancing and other antics aren't going to do him any good, and I predict he gets KTFO.
I also agree that Chuck saying he deserves a title fight after this is ridiculous! He's lost 3 in a row before his last fight. I don't see how getting two wins makes you think you deserve a shot. There are a lot of other fighters (especially in other divisions) who have won a lot more than that, and still aren't getting a shot.

At least we'll see Evans' undefeated record go up in smoke. This is gonna be a beatdown.

Rashad will win by Knockout due to an overhand right, fighting most of the fight as a counter-striker.

I wonder if Chuck will still think he deserves a title Shot after Rashad beats him?

Man what a f*cking crap match compared to Shogun. Im totally bummed out. Couldnt the mainevent got ruined on some of the US shows, you have shows every month.
I guess they did the best they could, but this card is weak now
