Tito Ortiz talking with the UFC
Tito reported in an interview he is in negotiations with the UFC and that specific matches have been discussed. Right off the bat I would have to say Ortiz vs Lidell. Any others?

I thought he already claimed to be signed by K-1s MMA promotion.. bet he feels like the little brother that nobody wants to have around right about now.

I'll be honest when I say I'm a fan of Tito Ortiz. I'm not sure why, I just think the UFC is better with him in it.
That being said, there is no way he should get a shot at Liddell after returning. He should have to fight at least 1 or 2 fights to prove he can still get it done in the octagon.
How about a Forrest Griffin/Tito Ortiz fight? That sucker would be huge for the buyrate! Griffin may not belong, but he has been true to the UFC, so he deserves the spotlight. Tito should have to prove himself a time or two before getting a title shot.
The Ortiz/Liddell rematch would be something special though. I think Tito's gameplan would be a little better for the rematch.
I hope to see Ortiz back next year. The UFC could definitely use him right now. That would help shoot them even further towards mainstream.

That's what I was thinking. No matter who he is "negotiating" with he is not going to work out what he wants. I think he is best off just trying his own promotion that way he doesn't have to work with others which he doesn't do well. His comment about Pride was interesting, apparently they don't think he is worth as much as he does and that is why he has nothing but bad things to say about them. I figured the deal wouldn't go through with Pride. It's a shame though. The only thing that bugs me about his own promotion is that he mentioned the devil aka Don King. Yikes!

At this point, I'd take everything Tito says with a grain of salt. He was all but signed by Pride according to him on his website a few weeks ago. He was supposed to have already made a big announcement about the first card of his promotion already. Now according to him, he's talking again with the UFC. After all he said about the UFC after the Salaverry fight, I have a hard time believing him. Just my opinion though.

I heard about the K-1 MMA thing too and at this point I wait till I see him fight before I believe that he has a contract with any organization.

The UFC Unleashed show tonight had Tito in the background wearing a shirt with an unedited Punishment logo... coincidence?

Yeah I'd love to see Liddell knock him out against the cage again.

I think we all know that won't happen again...Tito will be a much smarter fighter the second time around. Chuck suckered him into fighting a stand up fight during Vitor & Couture II.

Fedor is good GnP. Mark Coleman in his younger days is good GnP. Kevin Randleman is good GnP. Randy Couture is good GnP.
Tito Ortiz just lays on a guy and dry humps him, occasionally throwing a flurry of elbows to keep from being stood up, waiting for the decision more times than not lately.

I agree with Gygax. I have a hard time believing half of what Tito is saying about his current negotiations with Pride/UFC.
He was asked on a radio interview he had a recently on the subject of his recent offer of a Pride contract, "Normally doesn't Pride pay much better money than the UFC anyways?"
Tito: "No. No. It's the same money. It's the same money across the board"
Now I don't know for certain, but I thought it was common knowledge that Pride paid more than UFC
He also said of Pride's offer: "You know what? It just didn't interest me that much. Six fights with them seemed like too long of a time for me."
When he was asked about his thoughts on Sakuraba KO'ing Shamrock he said he had heard it was stopped prematurely and said: "That's another thing about Pride man. They call the matches the way they want them man. It's pretty shady sometimes.
So I think it's fairly safe to say he won't be going to Pride now. As for the UFC, they've apparently been calling him every day for the last two weeks so eventually he has talked to Joe Silva
I reserve judgement on anything regarding Tito and the UFC untill I actually see him step into the Octagon again.
