Default Ufc 47 and a couple of questions about fights and fighters.

I just bought and watched UFC 47 on DVD and thought it was a great card. I have a couple of questions about some of the fights.

First who is Genki Sudo. I saw him fight but they did not show the ring entrance. They said he is very flamboyant. Is he a great fighter?

Yves Edwards vs. Hermes Franca

I thought this was a great fight. I thought Edwards won and it was a split decision for Edwards. Does anyone think Franca won that fight?

A couple of comments...

Robbie Lawler vs. Nick Diaz was awesome.

Cabbage Correira is a tough SOB.

Marc Laiman has the worst case of cauliflower ears I have ever seen. Those are warrior ears!

Chuck Liddell corrects the mistakes he made against Randy and knocks out Tito in a standup fight with a great croud. Whether he knows it or not Tito was very smart to stand up with Chuck here. If he wins the fight he goes on to face Randy or someone else for more money and he erases any doubt anyone had about him after his loss to Randy. If he loses, which he did, it makes you think about what would have happened if he had grappled Chuck setting up a rematch for later.

We all know what Chuck went on to do. Is a match rematch even possible between the two? I know that Ortiz beat Belfort and Cote by decision but does that put him back in line to fight Chuck or even Randy again?

Genki Sudo is number sixin teh world at Lightweight. He currently is fighting in Japan for the K-1 Heroes show in the finals of their 155 tourny against Kid Yamamoto. He is awesome on the ground and standing up. He has a very good record. Go to Sherdog and you can check him out. Sudo also is one of, if not, the best Asian grappler in MMA. The guy competed at ADCC and has good enought stand up to beat people in K-1 MAX kickboxing. The dude is very legit.

I thought Yves beat Franca soundly.

Tito is actually not in the UFC anymore. He's rumored to be getting a contract with Pride. Although UFC and K-1 Heroes did throw their numbers in the hat. Whether Tito goes to UFC or Chuck goes to Pride/Heroes, they'll fight again considering the build up for the first fight. It probably wont be for a title considering Couture, Babalu, and Horn deserve shots before Tito. Tito beat a basic no name in Cote and "beat" Belfort. 74% of Sherog.com thought Vitor won.

It's all up in the air with Tito.

Well Tito has been running around doing his pro wrestling thing now. He hasn't had any fights since Vitor. And his 'victory' (I was one of the 74%) there really dosn't put him back up in contention for the title. If Horn beats Van Arsdale and Randy beats Chuck we will see Randy defend against Horn. Right now Tito is out of the game. He's not training. He doesn't have a contract to fight. And his last wins were less than impressive. Untill he gets back into it. Horn will deserive a shot before him.
