Hopefully Mir will take this. Wasn't this who Lesnar was rumoured to fight? Who does everyone think has the tougher next fight, considering Mir won.

Goes from headlining a show with Lesnar to fighting Justin McCully lol, he can't be too happy about that.

McCully has some ground skills and neither have shown a gas tank or willingness to really press the pace of a fight. This could be a three rd. snoozer.

I hadn't really thought of that one, makes perfect sense. I guess they are trying to keep Mir safe and on the back-burner for a title shot somewhere down the road.

This raises another question. Who does Nogueira get in the meantime? I know most of us want Arlovski, but I don't see that happening. So who else?

Werdum has to beat Vera first. Maybe the winner for Nog.? Except it seems he needs a fight before this can happen or else it will be Christmas time.

Dana must have something up his sleeve for Nog or else he wouldn't have put Mir with McCully - maybe this is another April fools?

Easy fight for Mir. Looks like they're building him up to be a contender. He won a high profile fight vs. Lesnar and now he's being put up against a guy who should be tailor made for him to submit. Plus, he already has credibility by being the former champ.

Mir by Sub round 1. I think it should have been Mir v Herring aswell.

it looks like the ufc is giving mir a relatively easy path to the title shot, which i dont mind. even though mccully has okay ground skills, mir will probably submit him in the 1st round

Yeah definitely a throw away fight for Mir, You would think Sub round 1 but this might be a chance to work some of that new and improved stand up that we didn't exactly see against Lesnar.
